Oh boy. Just got asked to play in an outing next Monday where just for attending the outing you get to pick some new equipment (you get a certain amount of points to spend and different clubs cost different points)

I will have my choice between the TaylorMade and Callaway 2017 lineups (no sure of the P770, P550, and Epic Pro irons will be options).

 

I believe I get 15 points

 

Iron sets cost 10 pts

Drivers 4 Pts

FW Woods 3 pts

Hybrids 3 pts

High end putters 3 pts

Low end putters 3 pts

wedges 2 pts

That sounds amazing, pretty jealous! The Epic irons are so insanely expensive.

Really looking at new wedges. Vokey SM6's. Just wondering around my fitting and questioning the lofts etc. not 100% confident in what the guy was telling me. I think I need to visit another place to get fit again. PW is 150, 52 is 128, 56 is 115, and 60 is 100 currently. He said to go to a 50, 54, and 58

A middle aged guy working hard to lower his handicap and have as much fun doing it. I'm typically a Titleist guy but last year put Srixon irons in the bag and have loved them. I've been lucky enough to play 3 times in the UK as well, just getting back from England and Ireland in July so I can help with questions on that front as well.

That's incredible. Very similar to the ProAm gift package I received at the Farmers Insurance Pro Am a couple years ago.

Contemplating between a couple of fairway woods. Last piece of my bag update, and I'm strongly considering an XR16 from Callawaypreowned. Also in contention are the Ping G and TM M2 HL. The F7 with the Baffler intrigues me as well, reminds me of this super old TM trouble wood I had growing up that I used to love.

Have an XR 16 5W .. that I got off Callaway Pre-Owned .. and really really like it!

Oh, oh... There's a double demo day at range near me - with both Callaway and Cobra .. which happen to be the brands I have in my bag these days. But I'm thinking I'd better instead go to a practice green at a course .. in the other direction! .. and work on putting and chipping....

Definitely need new wedges. I love the Mizuno T7s in the blue ion finish. But, you can't go wrong with the SM6s either...

I wonder if those custom head cover folks could make the same one I have, but in different colors? That would be amazing. The two red covers I got are totally ruining the color scheme I accidentally put together :lol:

Had a quick put at my golf club with this the other day and the face was pure! It felt heavier than my putter as well which was nice.
