Looking for input/opinions: I'm getting a modern MB, if I can find a used set that still has the chrome on it I'll probably buy them. I've never hit the earlier MP line up, but have hit the 710/712/714. Anyone play the 33's or 37's? Or offer up any other suggestions that have conforming grooves. Thanks! I have played several sets of Srixon MBs, including the prior gen 945 blade, which was buttery smooth and didn't seem hard to hit. I have the cb 765s now and haven't really been tempted to look at the mb 965. I've drawn a "moral line" at the specs of the 714, which are already strong. Couldn't get used to it, felt like I had to use a lot of forward press, more than normal anyways. Also, I know there are some people wondering about my obsession with blades/MB's... I don't want any help, I want back the effort I put into the club. If it is a crappy swing, the results will also be crappy. Masking my bad shots doesn't make me improve. I got to hit and demo the 1,2,3 at a Titleist event in September. I ended up going 4-7 in AP1 and 7-P in AP2. Didn't care much for the 3's. The 1's are a fantastic looking GI iron and the 2's were surprisingly forgiving in the lower end of the bag for me, even as a 17 HC I went with the AMT Red shafts. If I wasn't on my mobile. I'd search for the thread and copy it here. But with a little effort you should fine it. One thread was the Team Titleist thread.
