... Quite different and it looks much more like an iron at address. The black and gray graphics of the Adams has been replaced by satin chrome. Performance is similar although there have been advancements made in the years since the original was released. Scroll through the pictures to see what it looks like at address in the link below:

https://www.globalgolf.com/golf-clubs/1054331-taylormade-sim-dhy-hybrid/

Alright, will do, thanks for the link.

I had one in hand at Golf Galaxy last week though...perhaps my memory of the Adams stick is not as clear as I thought.  I'm tracking the chrome being different but overall shape struck me as pretty close.

Thanks again for your time and feedback.

I decided to build my own golf simulator.  I am currently designing it using materials I am very familiar with.  Corrugated, Paper rolls, sheets and Foam.   Sounds crazy, but I will take a few pictures when complete.  I then need to decide Optishot? or.....

Thinking about Grips today!

The 20% off from PGA Tour Superstore works on them so not a bad time to grab some.

Trying to decide between my old standby of Lamkin Crosslines or using the Sonars like I used this year or grabbing the Sonar Wrap which I had put on the driver shaft I ordered.

I’m probably leaning towards the Sonars as I like the reduced taper, even though the crosslines give me a littler firmer traction.

was just looking at both of these ..  I have the crosslines now and really like them but always wonder if there is something out there I would like better.

I decided to try out the Sonar's as part of #CCC4 since they were an option and I was interested in the *less twisting* story of those an similar grips.  I really liked them over the course of the season and they were comfortable in all conditions.  I'm not sure that they're any less prone to twisting as the Crosslines, but they feel much more cushioned as well.

I'll probably do them again.  But I might wait until I have some more time with the wrap version.  That one feels good in the driver.

In an interesting twist, the Masters themed Steelfibers that I won, they now gave me the option of Regulars or Stiff today. Chose Regular since they play stiff to flex. Still probably won't use them though.

The wrap vs non-wrap felt the same to me regarding tackiness.

I will say this. They both initially felt too squishy to me (like the first day) then after maybe 10-15 swings they felt much better.

... I took advantage of the $19.99 a dozen with free shipping over $99 so I picked up 5 dozen. TWICE. First time the white ones and 2nd time the TP5 Pix. Now I have more golf balls than I will probably need in 2 years playing 4-5 times a week in Phoenix. 🤪

I am starting to look for a 15 - 17 degree fairway wood.  The spousal unit took custody of the RBZ 13* after trying it a couple weeks ago and the 17* i20 Ping hybrid I use is ballooning too often.  I recently hit my 1980's staff 5W during a classic club round and liked the ball flight a lot better than the i20.  I'd play the old 5w but its about 25 yards short, so the search begins.

I should start in the club barrel out in the shed and see what heads & shafts have collected there that I have forgot about.  🤔

I always start searching at GolfEtail. They offer real good prices on the last year or two's stuff that is still new. Right now a TaylorMade M5  5 wood new for $199.00 Regular flex or the 3 wood in stiff flex. Srixon Z F65 for $89.00.

Thinking about an inexpensive mallet putter to mess around with over the winter. All of my putters are blades and I'm curious to see if a mallet would help me improve my putting. I notice that my putter head will twist on me a few times per round and mess with my start line, wondering if a larger & heavier head would help quiet things down.

Thinking the exact same thing. Might try to pick up a used one or a cheaper new one like Clevelands offerings, plus I think there is something to the variable groove they and others have.

basic frame using roll stock cores for vertical, laminated cross beams, and corrugated sleeves for spacers. the CAD 3D shows only one side attached. This is the basic frame concept.  Have some pieces cut as well to take home and play around with .

how much cost savings is using cardboard to whatever materials they use for a normal frame ( wood, PVC, metal ???) you could most likely save hundreds on material for the frame ?

Would also love a simulator but where would I set it up, and when will it start paying for itself vs the range and actual golf. Since I can technically golf year round (albeit wet and cold) I can see why folks in my old neck of the woods would have one.

I’d kill for a skytrak right about now! I’d probably be limited to wedges in here tho... unless I built a heated shed for winter golf purposes, my neighbors just got one that you could fit a car in.

Thinking of tinkering with the idea of a 10.5* driver with a low launch/low spin shaft. Having a trackman session today to dial in my driver experiment but worried i may not be getting enough launch. Maybe if i win a driver contest (or a testing opportunity) I can test this theory out before actually getting fit again.

since it is what I use every day at work, free 🙂   I can't imagine the materials would cost much if I were to create a kit that could be sold.
