I'm seriously struggling with what to do with these clubs. They're a beautiful set of irons, and if I return them, I think I'm going to end up being sorry. A big part of me wants to keep them.

They're in mint condition, if any lefty here is interested, I'd be much happier selling them to someone here then giving them back to PXG.

Friend of mine was saying to not over look the VR from GD. The DI has been a favorite of mine and one I consider going back to but the IZ was nice for in the m5/6 heads and has me pondering possibly in a couple of the new releases coming. The g425 is one for sure on my radar

Likely going to pull the trigger on a sub70 699U but will wait until spring to do so. That way the weather will be warmer and I can test the distance out properly. I have noticed with the cold, not only are the balls not compressing well. but my irons are less springy due to the polymer material stiffening up.

I tried the VR a few years back just after it launched. I tried it in the PXG Gen 2 drivers and had good numbers, but when I tried it later that summer, the numbers weren’t as good.

I’m thinking the IZ would be perfect in the Max to help reduce some spin that will come with the head, and I really liked the feel and launch I got with it in my Epic Flash SZ. I think it could be a deadly combo!!!

Saw that!!! Ping said they wouldn’t release a Max until it was better than the 400.... Well, I had pretty good numbers with the 400, so I’m REALLY thinking the 425 will be the ticket!!!!!

I'll be looking to upgrade my setup between my 3 wood and lowest iron (5 as of now).

The 0211 irons have 70g MMTs, and my 15* is about 55g. I'm thinking something in the 60-65g range with hybrids like the Kuro Kage Titleist offers in their lineup.

No rush though, I'm going to take my time and try all the '21 stuff. Then come spring I'll decide on which ones I get. Every thing is on the table... I'm even willing to go 7W. Here are some options I'll be considering...

5w 4H 

5W 4H-5H

3H,4H

3H-4H-5H

If nothing else, this should keep me busy during my first winter up on Long Island in 10 years...

My fiend who was telling about the VR said it was a little “loose” but a good shaft.

the iz is definitely going to knocK some spin off. When I hit it in the m5/6 compared to the ad di and one other shaft I tried that for the life of me I don’t recall if it was a rogue or diamana the iz was about 250-300 lower. It put me in a spin range than looks good on the monitor but in real life scares me. IZ was in the low 1800-2000 range. I probably could have lived with the ad DI in that 2100-2200 range but I wasn’t ready to dump the money into the m5/6 and was happy with the g400 I had

Haha I like your strategy to get fitted before Ping , Taylormade and Callaway new releases are in fitting carts.

this allows you to buy a new driver at least 3 more times between your fitting and the middle of the year because you can claim certain models didn’t exist yet and might have fit you better

As much as I’ve loved my SCOR wedges I think it’s time to move on. Einstein has moved from the thinking to it’s only a matter of time for a 54 and 59 to make their way into my bag.

G425 has made its way onto the radar. I’ve had a significant uptick in driver SS. I think it’s getting to be time for a new driver fitting and club to Max things out there. :)

Let’s see how Santa or my preferred provider, the Christmas Goat, treats me this year. He’s already gotten me to a spot where I could purchase the wedges. Love that goat!
