What equipment are you thinking about?

Potentially a new driver head.

Hit the Epic Max LS and TSI3 today and was impressed with both.  Did not hit the epic max ls as flush, but numbers were still pretty solid.  TSI3 felt more solid, but numbers were about the same.  Not sure what that means.   They did have the exact loft I'd likely play anyways.

1st Tee is always taking donations.  I’ve given them a lot of things over the past couple years.

what they don’t or can’t use is tag sale and money used for items needed.

Been doing a lot of research into a 3hybrid. I currently have an older Nike SQ and it’s time. I’ve never been able to hit it very well and I think it’s time to make the investment. I’ve gone through a club championship fitting which was a bit ridiculous asking over $600 for a club. Done some informal fittings at our local PGA Tour Superstore but it’s so hard to figure out what makes sense. 
 

What does everyone else think?

I’ve had the PXG 0211 irons in my cart several times and haven’t quite pulled the trigger, my wife keeps hinting that she’s getting me something “special” for our anniversary in June....don’t want to rob her of the chance to surprise me

Sub70. Can get a great club for have the price. Can get an up charged shaft and be the same price as a std OEM hybrid

I’ve got putters on my mind. I tried a couple of Scotty Phantoms today at Golf Galaxy. The first one is the 2021 X11 it was fine but wanted to compare it to a 2019 model. They had an X12 that I tried. I really preferred the feel of the X12. It had a softer feel that was more to my liking. I’m not sold on the size and shape though. In looking at the Scotty website, I prefer the look of the X7 model. I hope to track one down to try it.

Funny you mention that. I’m actually going out there next week for a fitting. I don’t live very far from their shop here and someone I played with over the weekend mentioned them as well and had just got irons from them. I’ve heard good things so I’m looking forward to it and knowing what I know from the “fittings” I’ve already had I can go in with some good data to know if it makes sense.

Follow up, got to hit a z765 6i today and while punishing did feel nice on the wet turf. I was happy with it although I’d need a split set if I ever went that route.

They play stiff.

Kuchar played the i95 stiff in 2010 and snedeker still plays the i95 in stiff.

I’m glad you posted this. I’ve had one for years and haven’t used it at all. I just downloaded the app and now they have more data for the full swing, and they have short game/bunker data! I need to get mine charged and get to work!

work boredom has gotten to me. built a 12 club sub70 set that was the same price as just my irons.

Thinking about being fit for MP20MMC/HMB combo. 

 

But, the MMC 7i looked weird at address.  Topline is blade like, but the offset is very much JPX.   Whether that's the case in actual mm or not, that's how it looked to my eye.  

 

I need a shot at hitting them outdoors somehow.  Maybe I'll split between 7/8 as the HMB didn't have this weird look, maybe just get all HMB or something else entirely, LOL.

Stilll thinking about Hybrids, or well the Hybrid spot in my bag.  I hit an absolute gem of a second shot after a poor drive on a par 5 on Sunday.  It ended up going 210 with a high draw out of the rough.  The only problem was it drew about 10-15 yards more than I felt like it should have, and nearly missed the left side of the fairway and would have been lost down a 15 foot rock wall.  

A few holes later I was using it off the tee on a short downhill dogleg left, set up down the right side of the fairway to allow for the draw and BOOM!  Blocked it right.  It's not terrible for me, I just feel like there's a better fit out there for consistency.  

I might have to browse eBay later on... what's a guy to do?

Coming out of the rough it’s possible that the rough grabbed the club and turned it over causing the hook.

Generally agree with you, but it’s been a pattern even off the tee.

Have you looked at utility irons, or more iron-like clubs like the TM DHY?
