But I cracked the Fubuki shaft on it close to the ferrule, so it sits in my basement gathering dust. May have to try and get a new shaft for it sometime, but my used Titleist H1 Hybrid works great for me right now. I did buy an Adams 3 wood (club head size is halfway between a FW and a hybrid) about the same time as the Super Hybrid, but it doesn't seem to work for me. The shaft is likely too long for me. But cutting it would screw up the swing weight so it sits unused. I sometimes use it when its very windy since its got less loft than my existing FW 3. GolfSpy_APH
So Cobra is coming out with a new players hybrid. Saw a few photos on instagram and all I can say is WOW they look incredible and are definitely a club I want to try out. Apparently designed to be high launch low spin. Again incredible look to them... although I can't find the photos again to post. Pretty sure called the Cobra King Tech Hybrid. Superspeed helped a right handed swing as well, plus I played field hockey they only make right handed sticks so I had to adjust. I can putt right handed just as well as left handed too, but I don't see myself pulling a TC and switching to RH... golf for me is hard enough LH that I don't need to make it more difficult and the additional clubs that could be purchased would both not help my game or my bank account. I believe it was F6 before rails came back. I only say that because I have a F7 3 wood and it has the rails and F6 did not. Really doesn't matter though, and looking forward to seeing how anyone hits this finds it and maybe there after Cobra will bring out one in LH a year or so down the line. That seems to be a trend with them. They will make a "new club" in RH only and after a year or two once it has gained traction and will be a staple in their lineup a LH version comes out. See MIM irons, Driving Irons and several other woods. As you said, not because I'm thinking about switching, but when they do wear out PINGs.... spinsistency... is something I'd be interested in if it's included in a more traditional profile like the MIMs. With some of the dewy morning rounds any extra spin on wet shots would be welcomed. GolfSpy BOS
Just had a fitting at the PGASS... while I was a little disappointed by the "fitting" aspect of it, at least it was free with a promo code, and I got to try a lot of different heads against my gamer. I was hoping to see if there were other shaft options better for me, but I was pretty much within the trackman optimized window with the Speedzone... but the Callaway Epic Max LS was right with it and felt better. Popular Post GolfSpy BOS
Was going to make a separate thread, but I don’t think my fitting really needs it. I had my fitting at PGASS and while the “fit” aspect of it was nothing to write home about, I was at least able to try several of the new heads with the same shaft as I am using in my Speedzone, the Ventus Blue 6X. If it hadn’t been free with a promotion from the opening I would have been unhappy with it. I wish I had been a little more demanding in the fit, as I mentioned that I wasn’t sure if the Ventus was a good fit and he didn’t seem to enthused to try out much else. It was more of a “looks good” than anything else. Perhaps that’s because of this: As you see, the Speedzone is very comfortably in the optimal range here. So I knew there was not going to be a lot of room for improvement. Two notes: 1. Spin - My spin is going to look high here, the tee was as high as it would go and I was still getting middle or below strikes. We switched to the left dash Pro V1x to combat this, but from my outside ball flight I would not suggest that I am too spinny on the course. 2. Swing speed. Usual story of not that comfortable in that particular bay, but I did get to the 105 range. I think that is probably a fair speed (Trackman vs Swing Speed Radar likely leaning too favorable). I tried a whole bunch of heads after warming up with mine Radspeed - felt almost exactly like my speedzone, took 4 swings and knew it wouldn’t be worth an upgrade on its own. PING G425 LST - I wanted to like this as I have fond memories of my G30. Couldn’t hit this guy. It was the shortest of the bunch for me, and no more accurate than the next. TSi2 - Looked and sounded nice, but I was all over the place with it. With the spin we were seeing I was surprised he didn’t pull the TSi3, but that’s what was put into my hands. SIM2 Max - 3rd place for me. I could game it, maybe some potential as it felt very LIGHT compared to the rest. I like the TM look too since M5 with matte crown. Epic Max LS - can it unseat my Speedzone? No surprise this was the one I was most interested in hitting. I love the sound and feel of this head. It was good to be able to go with the Ventus in it since I didn’t love the iM10 or MMT stock offerings in the standard bays…. So, how’d it do vs the Speedzone? Carry: Super consistent. It is 7 vs 14 shots, but this was 7 shots and my std dev on carry and total was less than 6 yards and my spin was more controlled. So the Epic Max LS is a shoe in right? Not so fast! Let’s take a look at the Total and Carry for the 7 Epic shots vs the 14 Speedzone shots (warm up was removed) So basically, not significantly different than the Speedzone. Give me 20 shots with each and they’ll probably be the same. At this stage I’ll probably keep rolling with the Speedzone and keep an eye out for a super deal on the Epic max LS. I wish my fitting had looked at strike and grouping a little more, and I should have pushed to try a few other shafts too. I may still get my hands on one or two shafts to try out, but it looks like I’m looking for gains in consistency and not distance at this time. …But I still WANT the Epic Max LS. What do you guys think? Waste of time and energy? Or should the inner Ho in me win out because I was more consistent with it (only 7 swings be damned). Im hoping to convince the wife and kid that I need an orange whip or sklz trainer as my course doesn’t have a range for warm up. cnosil, juspoole, GolfSpy_SHARK and 1 other 4 Quote What is in my Sun Mountain C-130 bag or Jones MyGolfSpy bag Driver: Dark speed LS 8* set to -1.5* with an Attas Daaas 4x shaft @ 45” Fairway: F85 3 wood with a XPhplexx Agera X @ 42.5” F85 5 wood with a UST Elements Chrome 7F5 @ 41.5" Driving Iron: Rapture 2-Iron Irons: SMS Pros 4-PW with Steelfiber I95s Wedges: SMS 50* T grind with Steelfiber i110s Glide 4.0 46* zz wedge shaft Glide 4.0 E grind 54* zz wedge shaft Putters: Mezz.1 34” 69* lie EV5.1 black 33.5” 69* lie

Best thing for me if I don’t have time to properly warm up as you get a good stretch and some good tempo too. I know @Lacassem always uses his and my dad has the shorter “iron” length one too. GolfSpy_SHARK
Yea I love the skilZ trainer. Swing it almost everyday to stay loose and always before a round. Those first drives always seem to pop lol. it’s a great tool even if it’s just to loosen up (helps me with tempo though) Kenny B, GolfSpy_BNG, GolfSpy BOS and 2 others 5 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran? That is the main reason for me to get one since my course has no range and I tend to play first thing in the morning. I played with my uncle a few weeks ago and his BIL had an orange whip. Took a few swings with it and felt my back stretch. Took my opening tee shot and it felt like I had already been playing and loosened up. Trying to read up on the differences between the 2 before I make my final push to the fam! I’ll probably end up with another golf towel and have to purchase one myself! I don’t know the difference in brands or orange vs yellow (im guessing weight) but the skilz brand has withstood a lot for me. I’ve had it for about 7 years, use it on concrete, grass, rock. Have left it out in the rain sun what have you.
