A 3 wheel push cart! Body getting too tired from carrying the full bag all year.  Needs to fold down small but feel sturdy.....where to begin

I've got the Caddytek CaddyLite 11.5 v3 and love it. It's lightweight, feels pretty sturdy, and folds down to a pretty decent size. Plus, I got a killer deal on it. I applied and received an Amazon credit card and got a $150 gift card which I promptly used to purchase the push cart. Best of luck to you finding the right one for you!

I love my Clicgear push cart. It’s the single best golf accessory I’ve ever owned.

It would seem there's more to come for the Ventus TR line.

I’ve messed around with it changing my responses and it consistently recommended $350 shafts. 🤔

Pondering the shotscope system.   The H4 is nice in that it would simply replace my GPS unit that I currently carry or maybe the LX+ that adds a rangefinder.   Don’t really need a rangefinder since mine works find, but a tech upgrade is always nice .

2nd the caddytek. Inexpensive and is a really good sturdy cart. Will never ride or carry again.

I don't necessarily need anything in particular, but I'd like some more golf knickknacks, or golf adjacent equipment.  Things like a new hat, or ball markers, or other things for the bag, if that makes sense.  Sleeves of different balls would be cool.  Places around me either only sell boxes or have an extremely limited selection.  Would be nice to try different balls without shelling out tons of money.

🤔😄 Like, a subscription box!  Off to search for something like that!

I was looking into this as well... The Pro is the non-watch setup... the con is the tap activation requirement... I would like to have some stats, but there seems to be some manual entry (putts, punch outs, etc) so my golfmetrics post round updating may be just as good and not so bad once I'm in the groove of recording each shot on the card.  But Shotscope is intriguing.

Which new ones? They released 921 line last year and that is 2 years after the 919 and they Mizuno pro 221/223/225 were just released so unless there was news of another release coming you will be waiting awhile for new release.

Recently been considering the Shot Scope H4 after some of the previous comments on it. I like the idea of the data collection to start building a more focused practice plan. I tend to get caught up and do an awful job of keeping up with stats during the round.

Also been looking at a few putting mats. Would just be nice to get some consistent practice in for putting.

I don't feel like any of my clubs are performing badly enough to be on the chopping block, but that doesn't mean a new fairway or hybrid can't change my mind.

Thinking about my first Utility Iron. Always used a hybrid, but I think this year, I may try to use one and bench my FW after I check my gapping.

Tried Titleist UI that my club pro has on a Trackman indoors and it felt pretty good.  We have similar swing speeds and deliveries, but obviously his swing is a lot more buttery and consistent than I will ever be.

https://www.titleist.com/golf-clubs/utility-irons/

Will have to try these two on the range, but I have heard Mizuno, Cobra and Srixon are nice too.  So hard to tell what I will end up with when the club fitting starts outdoors.

Open to suggestions, since I don't have any history with a UI in the bag.

Lots on the ponder list, with seveal hundred dollars in the PayPal account from sold goods, and a $800 Visa Gift Card.

Top of the list is some sort of shot measuring device.  Below is a current list

  • Currently using Precision Pro NX9-It works great, I just want somethng new and fancy!
  • Also have the SkyCaddie SX500-Probably the best GPS unit I've used of any so far, but very interested in the watch style.

I have tried the following:

  • Arccos-Have tried it tiwce, and it just misses too many shots for me
  • Shotscope-Tried it twice also-see above
  • Shotscope Pro LX+ I like the combo of Laser/GPS together, but knowing me, I'd probably lose the small GSPS attachment-I wish it was afixed permanently.  And not sure I want to mess with the shot tracking again.
  • Garmin S60-Just didnt' work for me for a lot of reasons.  Primairlyh I found the navigataion clumsy and frustrating.
  • Precsion Pro R1, just too many bugs and I wasn't thrilled with the clarity of the viewfinder, the grapics seemed a bit blurry to me.

On the perosnal LM area:, I'm considering:

  • Mevo+
  • Bushnell Launch Pro
  • VoiceCaddie S300

On GPS Units, I'm considering:

  • Skycaddie LX5C
  • Garmin Approach Z82-Probably the best combo of GPS Graphics and Laser out there.  But don't know if I want to spend $599 on something, I'm likely to lose before the season is out.

The other con of the Z82 is spending that much, I rpobably wouldn't get a new personal LM as well   So I'm thinking I just stick with the PP NX9 and go for maybe the Mevo+  or go for the SC300 for LM and a new mid priced range finder frm Bushnell or somebody.

On the club front the only immediate ponders are the

I'm always surprised by folks who find that Arccos misses a lot of shots - I use it with the Arccos link, and with the phone in my pocket (when I forget to recharge the Link) and very rarely does it miss a shot (other than tap-in putts).

Yeah. I don’t know what it is.  And to clarify I may have overstated when I say a lot.  But 3-5 shots a round is more time than I want to spend post round editing.  I’d rather spend that time blaming our superintendent for bad hole locations 😬. And the in round editing on the phone just isn’t user intuitive to me.  Sometimes it works.  Sometimes it messes up the entire hole.

I do know I’m certainly not the only one that experiences that, as I’ve heard form a handful of others who have stopped using it due to that.

Been thinking about a no.. or at least limited frills GPS and the Bushnell Phantom 2 is on my radar.

For me the Bushnell wingman was a complete flop but the app was pretty boss. I'm hoping that the Phantom 2 redeems what made the buggy wingman such a bust.

I've been using a Garmin vivoactive 3 watch which has a really great golf gps app.. until recently. it's been buggin out with error messages so I'm kinda over it. That said, I don't think I'll ever play golf without some kind of GPS or range finder and the Phantom 2 seems to fit what I'm after.

If anyone out there in MGS land has any experience, please don't hesitate to share.

I have the predecessor to the Phantom; the Neo Ghost.   I personally think it is great.  Like most GPS units you occasionally get some strange readings but overall I would buy it again if I needed to get another.

I’d love to pick up a very lightweight 14 way stand bag.

I was thinking of the Sun Mountain 2.5 14 way, but the color options are very limited. I’ve always owned plain black bags, but now that I’m feeling adventurous it seems the options are limited.

Any suggestions guys?

BTW the less “branding” on the bag, the better.

If the Edison wedges stay in the bag I will look at a 3rd one to replace my set GW. I find the D7 forged irons a bit hotter than I’d like for standard chip shots and the Edison 54 has too much loft. I’d go 49 if I get a 3rd. (Love the Wilson’s for bump and runs BTW - I will use 8-PW to hit those)

Would love to find a HL 3 wood to try but have no desire to invest $300 in one.

I may have caught the new bag bug. There really isn’t anything wrong with my current bag. Everything has its place but occasionally clubs don’t want to seat properly. I was looking on the Golf Galaxy website for a cart bag. I walk the course using a pushcart so something slightly larger isn’t a big deal. The MyGolfSpy “Best Value” bag, Maxfli Honors+ is on sale for $179.99. Im leaning towards a bit of color in my bag. The other nice thing about a cart bag is the strap won’t get in the way while on the cart like it does with my stand bag.

I've been sporting the Titleist Hybrid 14 for over a year now and LOVE it! I actually started with the Ogio Woode, didn't like it, so took it back to get the Sun Mountain 4.5 that was just not very sturdy when upright and I just don't like the Sun Mountain stand mechanism.. so I finally returned it for the Titleist Hybrid 14. (Thank goodness for Dick's and their no hassle + teenagers that just don't give a crap return policy)

14 way bags are a tricky one because the lighter ones have to cut back on material to stay light, so you usually find that they don't have full length dividers. IMO, what good is a 14 way bag if the grips get all jammed up at the bottom?

I wouldn't say that the Titleist Hybrid 14 is the lightest, but I've had full carry rounds with it and if planned correctly, you can get it to a very comfortable carry weight and size. It's not overly bulky and all of the compartments are tucked and designed very well.

Here is the unofficial MGS review that I did on it

Another option if you're looking for something a little more budget friendly and want to keep with the black theme is the Maltby 14 way bag. I was looking at this the other day. Maltby makes some top level golf clubs. I'm sure this bag is just a general production bag that they put their name on but I'm also sure they put some effort into sourcing a product that they were happy to put their name on.

I've been thinking about a 5w to possibly replace the 18* hybrid and the hybrid has responded in recent weeks by hitting lasers right at the pin.  I want to keep that going so I moved an Epic Speed 5w into my CPO shopping cart!  😁

There's nothing like thinking about replacing a club to get another club to perform better. 😂 Hopefully having the 5W in the cart will keep the hybrid in line.

I bought the Epic Max Heavenwood to replace my 17º hybrid; I hit it very well.  Then my wife said she wanted a 3W, so went to CPO and got her an Epic Speed 3W and threw in an Epic Max 3W for me too.  I thought the Heavenwood would be my longest FW club because I have never hit 3W consistently.

Today was my first real test using the 3W and it's outstanding!!  Now I'm thinking that the Epic Max 9W will replace my other hybrid.

I went to a PXG fitting yesterday at Circling Raven... Their driver is definitely not for me(either gen 5 version). but their FW woods.... I really want to grab their 7w and 5w. I was hitting the 7w with a 5w F3 Motore shaft, and the 5W with the 3w version of the same shaft... so good. The extra length in the shafts gave me so extra speed/height on my shots. Super consistent and easy to hit. I was dropping the 7w in a pretty neat group right around the 215-220y mark and the 5w right at 230y's. Not sure it is worth the extra few yards for the 5w.. But that 220y 7w really has me wanting one. Now to come to terms with the $459 price with that shaft(including the veterans discount)....

You know this is all your fault!!!  I came to Portland last May to play 9 holes with you and bought the Epic Max Driver.  Now I end up with the 3W, HW, and likely a 9W.  🤣

Their 0341 Gen 1 3 wood is the best 3 wood I’ve ever used. It came with a Project X Even Flow Blue shaft. I bought it with the veterans discount for $95 which makes it even better. 😁
