Contemplating a new bag. I have the C130 which is great for wet and cold weather golf as it has tons of space but very bulky. I also have a small carry bag but doesnt fit my push cart great and lacks space especially cold weather and hot weather as I pack plenty of h20. Really need an in between bag.

Just curious, perhaps you can get a bag that attaches to your cart to hold water? For example, Bagboy sells an insulated bag attachment.

I’m thinking about what grip to try besides a Superstroke flatso on my PLD putter. I putt cross hand and like less taper than the stock pingman grip.

How do you carry the water? I have a TaylorMade cart bag on my cart and I use a 3L Osprey bladder. Similar to a Camelbak  is you are familiar with those. The bladder fist nicely in one of the side pockets.

I’m wanting to add a new blade putter to the bag. Scotty was at the top of my list, but Ping’s PLD and Mizuno OMOI2, in all black are really good looking. I think the hard part is testing these at one place.

That F425 Max 5 wood has a loft of 17.5 plus adjustability.  Personally, I prefer using a 4 wood of 16.5 loft, so I'd be looking really hard at the 5 wood.  It will be easier to hit off tighter lies than a 3 wood and it's doubtful that you'll lose any significant distance by going with the 5 wood.

Thanks Carl. Is it worth getting fitted for one or just using driver spec?

My unqualified opinion is.....it depends.  🙂  Personally, I haven't done extensive fittings for my fairway woods beyond basic fittings in the store or on the driving range.  I've found that the stock shafts (assuming I have the right weight and flex for my swing) work just fine.  Others might be more meticulous.  🙂

The Callaway woods are available in many lofts.  The 3 is 15*.  The 4+ is 16*.  The 5 is 18*.  I prefer the 4+, as the trajectory is much better (less ballooning).  So I recommend the 4+ fairway wood.

Not really. Because the fairway wood swing is different from the driver swing the shaft used in driver may not work in the fairway. Also what driver head model that works may not be the best fit in the fairway.

I am in a 20+ year relationship that I think may be coming to an end.  I am comfortable but don't feel the fire that some new hot thing will probably provide.  Hopefully I will find something that will not be a quick burning flare out of a relationship but will develop into another long term affair.

Of course I am talking about my Cleveland wedges.  A personal grind giving each individual heel relief & wearing lead tape like a badazz tattoo, lie angles and lofts tweaked slightly, these beauties have been in the bag since the early 2000's.

I am starting to glance around at some of the groovy grooves and fantasizing about the spin and tour sauce that could be in my future!!

It's the fault of the Edel wedge test which got me salivating like a Pavlovian dog.

I may have caught the new bag bug. There really isn’t anything wrong with my current bag. Everything has its place but occasionally clubs don’t want to seat properly. I was looking on the Golf Galaxy website for a cart bag. I walk the course using a pushcart so something slightly larger isn’t a big deal. The MyGolfSpy “Best Value” bag, Maxfli Honors+ is on sale for $179.99. Im leaning towards a bit of color in my bag. The other nice thing about a cart bag is the strap won’t get in the way while on the cart like it does with my stand bag.

In a bit of a follow up. I saw some posts on this bag on Reddit. While the bag was liked in general there was some concern about it’s durability. In particular the protective plastic around the putter well. In one instance the plastic came off after a months use. Another Redditor commented that he’d rather have spent a bit more on a more premium bag.

I am really turned off with Arccos’s implementation of new hardware and how they leave current hardware users behind while still having the audacity to charge a subscription fee

Seems like a hot thing to be thinking about since you're both in my brain apparently. I'm really trying to be mindful not to buy in to any ongoing subscription services, but also want to be able to track my progress over time as a numbers junkie. Combine that with how many products seem cross functional with capabilities (e.g. looking at shotscope H4 and r1 smart range finder, and some features overlap) and it's definitely drinking from the fire-hose.

I think this is one of the best values out there - across all golf equipment/accessories.

Not only do you get the shot tracking ability, but it is dead on accurate for front/middle/back yardages at my course.  The H4 does everything I ask my more expensive Garmin to do in the heat of the round.  Granted, other GPS units have touch screens and enhanced graphics... but when I'm playing... I am looking for yardages.  And this gives it to me in a small profile unit that fits in my pocket (or on my belt if I can get comfortable with the magnet).  Great price, spot on yardages, and with a little effort - full shot analysis with no annual fee.  Good stuff.

The only question I have since purchasing it, is if I should have opted for the V3 Watch instead.  Only because I haven't fully trained myself to tap every club... though it is easily corrected in the post-round.  But having the swing detection more automatic may be better for me (although there are pro's and con's with that as well).  But then, I may be questioning my decision had I opted for the V3 instead about the H4... and now I"m thinking about getting the V3... TOO!  Yes, @JerryB , my name is Tim and I too have a problem!

You’d love the LTDX even more.

They didn’t have any at DSG.  As soon as I get next week in the rear view, I’m going to schedule a Driver - Wedge fitting.  Keeping an open mind going into it, but giving the fitter the category of irons to fit me into.  The rest is free game.

Just hit the Rad Speed Driver… must have one.  They taped the face, but 265 carry average with a beautiful fade… oh my.

The best driver I’ve ever swung
