Thinking about switching to snell mtb x optic yellow golf balls. I already play them in white. Love the ball, not sure about the color. Feel like it will help with tracking shots since my vision and depth perception aren’t great.

I really never considered the polymer material in the clubs but it makes sense. Do you think their is an optimal temperature to be above?

There probably is. You’d need to look at an elasticity plot vs temperature for the material to see.

Back in the day I could have done that but I’m too many years removed from college physics and chemistry lol. Thanks for at least bringing it to my attention. Something I’m going to consider going forward

After watching the TXG video I am thinking about getting the Pro Putting Trainer as a gift for the spousal unit.  Her putting can be atrocious.  Of course I may get some use out of it also.....

Thinking of trying a new edge setup. Definitely need a different grind for my lob wedge. Or maybe go from a 52/56/60 to 53/58 setup. Looking at maybe picking up a ping glide 3.0 WS to see how I get along with that grind. Something with a bit more bounce and forgiveness than my low bounce k grind vokey lob wedge.

I have the Glide 1.0 58 WS... it is a different beast.

My buddy that works at golfers warehouse just let me know that my modus wedge 125 shafts are in. He’s going to swap our the KBS .610 shafts for me.

Also thinking about the Modus 120x for the irons as I was originally fit for. But the PX LZ 6.5 have been unexpectedly good. So I might hold off.

Last Sunday a piece of epoxy broke loose in the head of my TaylorMade SLDR 5 wood. The rattle was killing me. I took it to my local golf shop to see if he had a tool to remove the weight port. No luck there. So I know I could get it out somehow. I used to be a machinist many moons ago. I asked the shop owner what he had to replace it if I failed in my mission. After a few options with its included sticker shock he said he also had a used Epic Flash from his son. He said take it and try it. If you like it ill sell it for $129.00.  I got home made a tool, took out the weight port and the epoxy piece fell out. 

So my club is fixed and I have this new to me beauty tempting me. I'm playing golf tomorrow and will try it out. So do you think I should just get it anyway? Assuming I hit it well. Its a lot newer, good reviews, pretty good price.

I think you should give it a try and see how it performs for you. The Epic Flash line is pretty hot, but seeing how you hit it and if it fits into your gaps will be important. Have fun testing it out!

Despite my recent TS3 hybrid buys I still want to pick up a TM DHY.  We'll see.  Santa is bringing me next season's supply of Bridgestone's and a polo (I know because I bought them, handed them to the wife, and said "here, wrap these") but I'm wondering if she might have picked anything else up.  10 year anniversary in January too, and the wife knows she's getting some diamond earrings...

It’s such a good driver.

Back in the spring I cracked the hosel (and broke the shaft) of my 400 Max. Ping was closed due to covid at the time, and I used a speedzone extreme until ping reopened and sent me a replacement.

I’ve tried a bunch of drivers looking to replace that Ping, and this was the one that came the closest. I loved the look, the feel, everything, except I couldn’t hit anything but a slight push with it. Plenty of carry and roll (more than the Ping), but I simply couldn’t fix the ball flight.

That was not the clubs fault though, it was me rushing to get a replacement driver and simply grabbing one with the stock shaft in it. I can usually get away with that, but not this time.

TBH I’ve always wondered if it was just the way I was swinging at that time, since I was dealing with a case of golfers elbow. I’d still like to give that club another try, and probably will...

... I have played quite a few DI type hybrid/irons and the DHY has become my favorite. Best of the bunch for fairway or tee shots. Even light rough is playable with the DHY. It has become a real go to club for me.

A 2 driver setup... I've been listening to too much Scott Fawcett. 

Something with a short shaft around 44" and forgiving head and then experiment with an EPIC Flash or something similar around 47 or 48" for all out distance when I play the local goat track or cow pasture where you can hit it anywhere.

I was hoping to have that part of my bag addressed with my TS3 hybrids but I’m finding it really hard to knock it down or flight it low...hoping a more iron-like stick does the trick.

I've been told a 16* 4 wood may be better for me as a fairway.  That made me wonder what I could do with a 16* hybrid.  I tested the 17* Exotics Hybrid two years ago and loved it which makes me think I could move down a degree, pick this up and no longer have to stress over a fairway wood.

I've been playing a W/S 17º hybrid for a couple of years and it's been my goto club.  I've tried several FW for a little more distance, but most don't agree with my swing or ss.  However, I ran across a new Titleist TS2 16º with the SureFit hosel for cheap... couldn't wait for the TSi2!!  Way more distance!  I still use the hybrid for certain shots, especially from our rough.

Two things are on my list at the moment- One I saw a leak of new ping i59 irons I believe and well my jaw hit the floor. So nice and can't wait for a proper update. 
Second is a driver, I have my Epic Flash Sub Zero which is good and has worked well, but I am ready for a update and when the new ones come here for fit carts I will be sure to go in and see whats going to be best. Till then just keep waiting!
