cksurfdude
Not the Ping. While I was at the Ping fitting in AZ, I determined that their hybrid was not for me. I am currently playing the original TM RBZ hybrids in 3H and 5H. The 5H is fine; the 3H not so much, but it has been better than most other hybrids I've tried, but it's been a year or so. I spent a lot of time with the Ben Hogan hybrids during the forum test, and they weren't for me either. Last year at Demo Days I tried the Cobra (forget which model); it was OK, but not as good as my RBZ. I will certainly try TaylorMade again and maybe Callaway but I have never found a Callaway club that felt good to me since the original Big Bertha driver. I am also considering ordering the Bobby Jones hybrid just to give it a try. I also think that a 21* may be a better option than my 19*. That would allow me to look at adding a 17 or 18 degree fairway wood. I took my 3W out of my bag because I was not hitting it consistently better than the RBZ 3H. I think it is time to re-evaluate the top end of my bag. Sounds like you may want to look at an adjustable hybrid so you can dial it up or down a bit as desired? FYI, I have a Cobra F6 from last year (maybe the one you tried?) which is good but not awesome, but very playable and versatile and does offer adjustability up to 3 degrees .. so in one club you can go from an, eg., 2H/16° to a 3H/19° in 0.5 increments plus "Draw" setting options. Recently saw a favorable review about this year's F7 with the Baffler Rail sole. 1 Quote WITB of an "aspiring" play-ah ... ..PXG Gen5 0811XF (PX EvenFlow Riptide CB 50/5.0 or Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue 45/A) ..Callaway Bertha Mini 1.5 (UST ProForce V2-HL 5/F3) ..Callaway Rogue ST Max OS 4H (PX Cypher Black 50/5.0) ..Callaway Big Bertha 5H (Recoil ZT9 460/F3) ..PXG 0211 6i-GW (Mitsubishi MMT 60/A) ..Cleveland CBX2 54 and CBX 60 (Rotex graphite) ..EvnRoll ER5 or MLA XDream (..Edel EAS 4.0 on the bench) ..all in a Datrek bag on an MGI Zip Navigator electric cart. StrokerAce
didn't get the gap wedge in my new Sterling SL irons and may end up regretting it. PW is 45* and my Callaway wedges are 52/58. Thinking about ordering the 50* gap wedge and bending my 52 to 54. Also realized that I need a lie angle change on my putter so I'm going to get the shaft bent so that the toe doesn't stick up in the air. Thankfully the same fitter can do all of it. 1 Quote I got something to say then I'm gonna say it.

MDGolfHacker
I hate this time of year All the reviews come out in the magazines and makes me want to swap out for new equipment (in addition to the reviews on MGS of course)! Looking to swap the irons out for Callaway CF16s or AP2s (but I'll hit the pings and Srixon irons as well. Hit the CF16s last year and was pretty impressed. Can't decide if I'm going to replace the driver this year too. Putter needs to go as I need a change in that area and new wedges are in order as well... It's gonna be an expensive year, lol... cathat72
Anyone ever try the Graphite Design Tour AD 85s Iron Shaft? I picked up a couple for my sand and lob wedges. Orange Hog
Sort of thinking about a Cobra F7 fairway wood. I've got the F6 Baffler and absolutely LOVE it but it only goes down to 16 degrees. Not sure that I need anything stronger to be honest but I'd like to at least try out the F7 and see how it stacks up.
