See if you can get your hands on a Cobra MIM with the wide low bounce to try out.

56* has 7* bounce and and 58* has 6* of bounce.

I have the 60* with 4* of bounce and it does right lies great, but the sole width adds a touch of forgiveness on strike too.

Thanks, haven’t bought a wedge in a while. It’s hard to try because not many LH in stores.

Thinking about switching putters. Finished up most wanted blade
Putter testing last week and started mallet putters yesterday. My results from yesterday compared to my results from blade putters seems to indicate that I putt better with a blade putter.
When I was testing the exputt I saw some indications of the same thing.

Still have some of my blade putters for the past, may be time to do some more experimentation with my currently owned putters or just buy a new putter!

That art of putting. There’s no more personal club in the bag!

I’ll be interested to see what you end up with. Before trying the ER2B I would have thought it was all wrong for me. But now I feel like other putters look out of sorts. I love the way the single bend black shaft blends right into the club head. And I’ve always preferred the smoother more rounded shapes with soft corners like the ER2 has.

Need to research new wedge 56-58*. Current has too much bounce and tight lies are killing me.

If you could find left handed Vokey's in store, they make both the 56 and 60 in an M grind with 8 degrees of bounce. I feel sorry sometimes for you guys that hit from the other side of the ball and how it's difficult for you to find stuff to try out. Good luck to you!

I’m a lefty, like @Rickp so rather than search for his post I’ll reply here....

i have a SM7 58* M grind. Rick, it’s a great club from bunkers, but trust me it’s not magical from tight lies or compacted sand. It’s better than a high bounce wedge, but for players at our level, technique is usually more the issue than a few degrees of bounce.

Keep in mind we’ve been playing a lot of wet courses this winter, and the combination of soggy, tightly mown turf and muddy, compacted sand will play havoc with anyone’s short game.

ive been having success using more of a putting style stroke with either an 8 iron or PW lately. It’s not as precise as a 52* or 58* specialty wedge, but I’m finding it a lot easier on CPO days.

Thanks for the tip.
The Bermuda “rough” here is as tight as the green! I need a 56-58 with less than 12* bounce, 10* might work. Primarily for over green side bunkers and other obstacles. Plus I’m bored and need a new wedge

Thinking of copying @chisag's former setup with a SIM DHY to pair with my super hybrid that is coming in. Would really need to off load a lot. Maybe I should just tweak my 0311X instead since it is similar profile to the DHY. More so between the UDI and DHY.

I'm pretty lucky the Golf Galaxy in Fort Myers has a pretty good selection of lefty stuff.  I just picked up a 52 and 56 Cleveland RTX4 on sale for a little over just one of them would cost at normal price (I had a few rewards to work with, as well as them being on sale.)  They had a bunch of Callaway, TA, Vokey and Clevelands to choose from.  I don't know if there's one close to you or not.

I always try to remember that I'm not good enough to get mad!

So I’ve been having terrible luck with Cally Preowned lately.

The 3 Epic Flash hybrids I ordered just arrived, the 4 and 5 looked like they were never hit, but each one had a different grip, one was mid sized, the other was their cheap universal version. The 3 was not even close to like new, average would be pushing it.

I guess I could send the #3 back and reorder another one,and then regrip the others, but I’m just not in the mood, so back they go....

they've definitely fallen off the cliff since the increased interest in golf during the lockdown.... usually clubs are as good or better than listed but I recently got a superhybrid and was pretty disappointed in the condition

I don’t know why, but it’s a big thing in the Myrtle Beach area, maybe because of the crowded bag drops? I have no clue... but you see so many personalized bags. Some with just a name, others with both a club logo and the player’s name.

Back on Long Island, (and I think most areas) if you show up with your name on your bag, you had better have a ton of game. Low single digits minimum or you’ll never hear the end of it. Down here? Anyone from a beginner to scratch will have it done.

So to answer your question, unless you plan on turning pro anytime soon, I’d say no. If you want to get the logo of your club, or favorite course, fine. Leave your name off the bag though.

They have been doing the Hero pricing for everyone since a little after the Covid outbreak started.

The new 0211 irons are really really good. I like mine so much I ordered the SW and LW and I convinced @cksurfdude to upgrade from his old version. 😇

I want to get a driver from them also, their pricing is so great right now, but a little birdie told me to hold off for 3 weeks when they will be releasing 3 new Gen 4 drivers, which is the update to their premium line.

The driver your buddy got is great, the new one will have to be special to beat it.. I hit it with an Aldila NV Orange shaft and it was longer than my old faithful G400 Max. The Riptide shaft was good, but the NV is just a classic... The fact that PXG offers it shows it still holds its own as a lightweight, high launch option after all these years.

BTW could the shafts in his irons be the MMTs? They’re a $75 upgrade with most OEMs but are the stock graphite option with PXG. I have them in the 70g regular flex and they are ver nice.
