But the goal is to play the best equipment and not worry about the other brands in your bag.   I have a Callaway branded bag and don’t play anything else in the callaway family.

+1 on this comment. I also have a Callaway bag, the Org 14 cart, and don't own any Callaway clubs. I really wanted a Sun Mountain bag, but found a really, really good deal on the Org 14. It had all the features I was looking for and was a significant savings to the Sun Mountain. I have been extremely happy with it. Forget the brand and buy what best suits your needs and is the best value, IMO.

The Paradym's lofts are a litte jacked up so when you are trying to compare irons to one another make sure you are comparing the same lofts. They had to add extra wedges into the lineup to compensate.  They have a gap wedge, then approach wedge then the PW at 41 degrees. PW's used to be around 46 degrees. But everyone is doing the same thing to make you think you're hitting it much further.

Yep, fully aware of the loft help.  But as long as my trajectory is good, and my spin numbers are up... I'll take all the help I can get at this point in my aged life haha. 🙂  I accepted the "jacked" lofts in the Stealth's as well.  night and day difference between my current options and the set looking at me from the corner of my office (well two sets really... MP68's and Mizuno Pro 221's).  Those will make appearances a little later this spring when I launch my "Vintage 9" thread 🙂

A little different but I have a Neverlooz cart bag - fits on my Nitron push - that is pretty cool.  Gotta see it on the web site vs. me trying to explain it to you but it has individual clips for your clubs stacked in rows, lots of pockets, decent colors.  Owner is super helpful.  On my 2nd Neverlooz bag & I kind of like stuff that small fry in the business world are trying to market. You see the pix & you know you'll get lots of comments on the tee box.  One of these days I'll figure out how to post photos!

I am thinking about wedges this year and also looking at hybrids even though I shouldn't be 😅 but the new TSR2 hybrid head shape really suits my eye. I like a longer front to back club head profile in hybrids instead of the more compact club head (hence my Burner Superfast 2.0) and the TSR2 looks to have a big more enlongated shape. Going to hit one next time I am in Madison at the local shop there. If you don't hear from me again after that, it's because my wife used it to put me 6 feet under 😂

I guess but we had bare patches coming in up here snow wise and I got greedy on an early spring start, which technically still can happen, just a harsh reminder that we are a ways off up here

I like to walk and my carrying days are over. Looking at cart bags for my pushcart. I do like the Traverse but would like full length dividers because my clubs get hung up in the 6-divider bag I have now.

... I know some balk at this but will always remember my surgeon after my second back surgery when I asked what he thought of the new dual strap for walking that just came out. "I LOVE the double strap because it will put my 3 kids through college!" He said it is virtually impossible to carry a bag with the correct posture while putting it on and taking it off over and over again. He admitted some will be lucky to have no back problems while others will have mild to severe problems depending on what shape they are in, how often they play, etc. I have used an electric cart ever since.

... I have absolutely no problem with stronger or "jacked" lofts if the irons work for anyones swing. I will say for my game the 5* gaps in lofts are what makes the difference. Forged Tecs 45-40-35-31.5 (all bent 1* weak) compared to MIM Tours 46-42-38-34-30 (all bent 1* weak) means I will have more in-between yardages with the 5* gaps because of a bigger yardage spread. This is the #1 reason I prefer my MIM Tours to my Forged Tecs as I feel I can be more accurate with 5 clubs with the MIMs covering the yardages of 4 clubs with the FT's. Just something to consider.

Forget the brand and buy what best suits your needs and is the best value, IMO.

My wife started looking for a new cart bag a month ago when we were in Phoenix; went to all the golf stores there.  She liked Ping, but doesn't have any Ping clubs.  She just added a Callaway driver and 3W to her bag last fall, so I was trying to push her towards their Org 14; nice bag, but ladies length clubs don't fit that well.  She finally settled on the Sun Mountain Maverick bag because the top design is better suited to clubs not sitting on the divider tops.  It won out over the Sun Mountain C-130 for that reason as well.

Well... so as I was looking I decided that my 5 year old Wilson Staff carry bag was looking quite shabby, but I love it and all zippers still work great.  The top is worn from pulling clubs and riding around in the trunk of my car with my wife's bag.  It fits on my push cart and I like to carry it to the range when practicing.  But the Wilson clubs I had when I got it have left the bag.

I made the decision to get something new, and the Sun Mountain C-130S stand bag makes a lot of sense for me.  I mostly ride, but occasionally walk with my push cart.  I don't want a cart bag because it doesn't stand up by itself on the range or parking lot.  It's heavier than my carry bag, but I think going from a 5-way to 15-way with a dedicated putter well will be a good thing... And I get rid of the stigma of having a bag with no brand clubs in it!!

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Pretty Maltby club.  Unfortunately they discriminate against Lefty's.  I should ask for reparations! 😂

I thought to much about it so....My whole bag, including the bag, are new for 2023.

I am putting a 9* Krank Fire X Driver, 3+WD, 19* 5WD & PXG0211 7WD in the bag. I also am starting the season w/ PXGxcore 0211's 5 thru LW w/ MM 80+ stiff shafts-  my 1st attempt at graphite in the irons.  Only club not new is my Evenroll 2 putter that you will have to pry out of my cold dead hands!

A Neverlooz golf bag in green & new "barrel" head covers to improve the wood placement in the Neverlooz clips.  My ball is undecided but I have a plethora to test.  The new PXG ball, AVX, E12 are on the table.  Last year I played the Vice Soft & Callaway Supersoft. I need a lower ball flight, less spin & of course distance. This site has me thinking firmer is faster in my pellets.

I usually walk so push a Nitron cart, (not new) or I paired a V2 remote electric to a Caddy Tek cart.  The Nitron is so simple & lite. The V2 is a lot less strenuous walking round not pushing but can be a PITA sometimes to manuever.  Walking in Squairz shoes & Iron Joc golf shirts, from right here in Wisconsin.  I look good out of the trunk & on the 1st tee & it's all downhill from there!   To much info but it's 16* in Wisco & not much else to do.

Have a scheduled fitting on March 10 for new irons. Currently gaming 2019 PXG 0211 COR2 with KBS C-Taper 120 Stiff. Still a mid handicapper so looking to stay in the Players Distance category. Not really married to any particular manufacturer. All I do know is that I do tend to favor the slim line minimal/traditional type aesthetics. More of my interest lies in shafts how graphite, Steelfiber, or the new Axiom hybrid feels. I’d like to keep the stiffness but drop some shaft weight I think. My biggest concern is how my swing will be at fitting since I’ve been down to playing maybe once a month if I’m lucky.

... Blind side hits in the pocket and carrying a single strap was my downfall. The dual strap is obviously better than the single strap but with smooth rolling push carts and electric carts, there is just no reason to carry. That said, I know some only play once a week or less or just play 9 holes and have a Sunday bag so I get that. But playing 2-5 days a week and carrying is a recipe for back problems sooner rather than later.

Looking at cart bags for my pushcart.

Check out Datrek bags .. I have their Hybrid stand bag which does have full length dividers, plus it's a decent weight at a reasonable price point.

Another feature is Top Lok which means it has nubs on the back of the bag which mate with the top bracket on compatible carts.. no strap needed for a secure fit.

I’m thinking about getting a L.A.B  golf mezz one max putter. Does anyone here have one that they can comment and share some insight about?

I have a DF2.1, and I can honestly say it's the transformed my putting game. It's an incredible product. I've not played any of the other products, but given my experience with the 2.1, I can't recommend them highly enough.

For insight into the Mezz (Mezz Max want available for the test), check out the forum user test (

). I can give you a brief synopsis: the thing just performs.

I took some time to hit the Srixon ZX7 Mark II and Mizuno Pro 223 7 irons yesterday.  Both are amazing.  The difference between the two was just a matter of feel and the 223’s spins a few hundred RPMs more than the ZX7’s.  Peak height, landing angle, and carry differences were negligible.
