Does anyone here have experience bending loft/lie on a club who can tell me if my local club fitter would bend my Vokey sm8 52/10° back to a 50/8° and then further to 49/7° or 49.5/7.5°? They did the original bend. Would that still be covered by warranty? as a 2nd question.

I’ve heard some won’t touch Vokey’s or cast wedges in general do to cast clubs not being nearly as easy to bend as forged clubs. Someone else here might know of a place but personally I don’t.

Figured this is a good place to vent about my window shopping obsession currently. I’m gaming a Scotty Squareback 2 but really want to get my hands on a phantom x 5.5 in all black with a flow neck. I don’t normally use mallet putters but always want to give them a shot and absolutely love the way the 5.5 looks at address. And maybe JT and Max Homa did some decent marketing with their wins over the last 2 seasons.

I almost pulled the trigger on a ER2 head that I would’ve built out with a LAB shaft instead of the Scotty but got an amazing deal on the Squareback. I’d definitely give the ER5 a chance. I’ve heard nothing but amazing things for Evnroll. The Odyssey OG 7 also catches my eye.

Callaway preowned has some really good deals on Rogue ST fairway woods right now. I'm thinking Max 3 HL and Heavenwood would be a nice combo.

I have an ER7 and I tested the ER11v for the forum last year. The black finish looks great, but it is showing its dings now and I'm pretty good about keeping the headcover on it. And I ever so slightly like the "feel" of the stainless steel ER7 vs. the anodized ER11v.  Now the EV5.2 Duo...

Callaway 50% trade in has got me thinking even though I am happy with my setup. Hearing the dispersion improvements from the paradym really has me wanting to scratch the itch but not for $400 after trade in.

Personally, I didn't care for the Cobra (but I'm basically a Callaway Ho) and I figured out at my driver fitting, that I don't have the SS to game the Triple D the way I want a driver to work. I did, however play a round with a CS X LS and a TP5X. The X LS seemed to be less affected by the wind, appeared to spin a little less on iron/FW/D shots, and it worked better for me around the greens

I usually go to my friendly neighbourhood  Golf USA and they take care of it. I'm not sure there's anything they can't do (and if there was- I'm sure they'd tell you beforehand.

I waited too long.  I went to buy them today and the sale had changed to Apex irons.

I demo’d the paradym triple d with the x stiff shaft, hitting into a screen with a Trackman supplying the data. I liked it, but I want to try it at a range or a course before committing that kind of coin. While I was there I grabbed a dozen chrome soft X LS and from your description I will like them just fine

... Cast vs Forged isn't the issue per se. The material used dictates how much the club can be bent. Most carbon steel heads can be bent 3* with no problem other than changing the bounce and offset. Even 8620 can be bent 3* so again not a bending problem. Most don't know 8620 and 1020 have the same amount of carbon, the "86" is just more of an alloy that is harder so they last longer but aren't as soft as 1020 that is very easy to bend but gets dinged and gouged easily. Some stainless steel heads I won't even bother trying to bend them. Ping in particular and they need to be sent back to Phoenix for bending.

I can completely understand you wanting to try it out- outside before dropping the $$$$. I tried the Triple D with a few light weight X shafts. I could get it do pretty good but not what I wanted. Then I tried about 3 different Regular shafts and I was all over the place.  I tried 4-5 different Stiff shafts before figuring out that the "Regular" Paradym with the HZRDUS Gen 4 Silver and my KBS shafts were my best options (depending on conditions). It was a long day in the fitting bay

I hope they work for you as well as they do for me- FWIW- The X is my normal ball with the LS a REALLY close 2nd. I ALWAYS use the LS in wetter conditions as it's less affected by the wind and rolls out better. The trade off (for me) is that the LS doesn't stick quite as well (MARGINALLY) as the X on approach shots to the green. IMHO it's a worthwhile trade-off.

Thinking about the new TM Mini driver.
I went to the range yesterday and hit most of the clubs well, but the driver was not cooperating.

Back to wanting to tinker and thinking about driver shafts. Considering the old trusty rdx blue I had before Ventus black. Don’t get me wrong, the black was awesome for me last year but I always come back to if it really suits me. I am leaning that this spring. With as wet and cold as it is my drives are shorter and I am getting way less roll despite the gains I made in overspeed. My p avg last year was 290 and three nines in this year is 250. I know it’s likely me and not the shaft. I have picked up a heel tendency this off-season that I am fighting through with swing work. Maybe some more intentful swings at the range to see how fast I can push myself with a ball. Who knows.

Get 'em!!  I love my Callaway PM Grind wedges.  My 60º needs replacing this year, and I would probably get these if I hadn't bought a new 60º PM Grind before they were discontinued.  

You wouldn't believe how many shots I hit near the toe on downhill/sidehill lies that turn out OK.  That never happened with standard wedges.  I probably don't know the nuances of hitting that shot in the middle of the club face, but I can get by with these wedges.

Grooves in wedges eventually wear out...so why not?

I'll add to the chorus of voices. I had a +15 scramble my way around kinda day today, pulled my 56/12° Jaws Full Toe 11 times on 18 holes, 9 marked "perfect" or "good" 2 marked "ok"
