Yep.   Fourteen makes great clubs; the TB-7 were part of this years most wanted testing.   Like most of their irons they are low launching.

I'm currently drooling over a set of Wilson D9 Forged and a set of Mizuno JPX921 HM Pro's, both new and 5-GW and same price (super deal). Just different shafts. It's taking all my will power to not buy anything right now and wait for Spring. Ugh!

Also trying to determine what PLM to purchase and use in my garage and on the range. Leaning towards the R10 due to club data and spin without special balls (although RCT is highly recommended, and they are at least similar to the Maxfli balls I play). Also determining which mat to buy. Have it narrowed to 3, just need to pull the trigger.

Pete's is a great shop! ..been there a few times. Probably end up there; definitely trust them. There's a True Spec in the city, but I don't like going into the city... There's also a Club Champion not too far away; but yeah you have to be careful of the sales / upsell pitches.

I've been going to GolfTec for lessons - yes I know I know about their fittings - but that and PGATSS are convenient for *trying out* the major brand clubs.

My daughter just bought a house in Commack. Way too close to the new PGASS they opened there.

Like it wasn’t bad enough I have two of them within 6 miles of me down here in Myrtle Beach. 😂

Going to get fitted for the Apex '23 irons in a couple of weeks, I've tried the CB's and they were beautiful, but I'm thinking I may get a mixed set with the MB's in the 8,9,10 irons, and maybe even the Pro in the 4i.

Been striking my irons fantastically this year, but they weren't made for me, and play a little light with the ball launching too high, and don't feel as workable as I want at times. Get a few jumpers at times too and have airmailed a couple greens here and there, and hoping they'll help with consistency in that regard.

Also, the Apex CB's are droolworthy and I will love them in ways that border concerning 😂

Right now in the bag I've been using: driver > 3W (15*) > 2UDI (17*) > 3H (set to 20*) > 5i (23.5*)

But I also have a 21* 7 wood I've swapped in through the summer and delofted the 3H from 19.5 to 18*. I like the higher flight of the 7W (Callaway Rogue ST Max) and the workability of the Stealth+ hybrid. The 2UDI is a bit of an indulgence but it's fun to hit and nicely fits the gap between 3W and 3H (when lofted up a touch)... and on dry, hard fairways the ball will kick on nicely. Ha ha. On practice rounds I'll throw them all in the bag, giving me 15 clubs. I have been trying to figure the setup all year. I had a 3HL wood (16.5*) for a good while but the 3W works better for gapping and is nicer to hit.

I'm just a tinkerer.

Thinking about trying out some 2irons. Ive heard they can be hard to hit but my woods and hybrid are just not doing it or me right now.

Been playing for about 2 years in total. Winter breaks and a 6month period when I got sick. Starting to feel like myself again and recently played a “okay” round.
I currently have custom fit Cobra LTDx irons/wedges, a Vokey 60(cause my short game has been the best part of my game, and a Maverick 9 deg. Driver. Driving is the worst part of my game so My 4 iron usually takes alot of the long game abuse.

I would try out the Ping Crossover and the Mizuno FliHi. Both are great options and offer versatility off the tee, fairway and rough.

Ooops, I didn’t take pics……My Titleist T300 7 iron showed cracking and pieces of the top chrome finish missing from the toe, heel and shank.  I contacted Titleist, and by their direction, took it to the nearby Dick’s who then contacted Titleist and shipped it off the same day.  They said it would probably take about 3 weeks to rectify.  Hopefully, Titleist covers it.

Had the iron fitting tonight with Sean from GolfMD, and it really exceeded my expectations. Sean is also a PGA pro so while the primary focus was fitting, it was also an excellent lesson as well.

First he wanted to see me swing my current clubs to get a baseline. He noticed that my swing is almost all arms with the 60g A flex shafts, and said I am likely overpowering them when trying to rotate more/better weight transfer.

So we started with shafts, trying different steel options with a common head (Paradym X?). I tried to note all the different shafts/heads he was swapping throughout the fitting, but he made things pretty seamless so there wasn't much down time and I could focus on making good swings. Tried a handful of DG, KBS and Nippon shafts where we ultimately landed on the Nippon Modus Pro 115g Stiff flex.

Once we had that figured out, we started swapping heads. Probably tried 9 different heads, until we got down to three and ultimately one. Heads included: Callaway Paradym, Callaway Paradym X, Mizuno HM Pro, Mizuno HM, Titliest T200, Titliest T150, Srixon ZX4, Srixon ZX5, Ping G430?, and TM P790. The final three were Srixon ZX5, Mizuno HM Pro, and Titliest T200 with the T200s winning out. All three heads felt fantastic but was delivering the head of the T200 the best. Gave me a 6-iron to demo for a week or so to make sure I am feeling good about it before I pull the trigger. Finally, Sean gave me a couple new drills to work on to help make my swing more efficient, and less in-to-out.

Sounds like a great fitting and I love that he gave you a club to go hit outside of the fitting to confirm everything!

@Josh Parker 😂 I didn't believe him at first when he gave me the iron to take home, but I suppose he has my credit card info on file already lol

True but I also feel like so many of them push for the initial sale instead of making sure the customer is confident.

Wow. That's some change from 60/A graphite! See..... I was wondering if those were not right for you (and I don't play a club fitter on TV 😄).

Sounds like you had a really great fitting!! Plus that 6i demo is a huge bonus! Good luck with them 👍

There are countless threads on here extolling the virtues of being properly fit for clubs, but this post serves as an example of why it makes such a difference! There is an ocean between 60g A flex graphite and 115 gram S flex steel, so I would imagine if you pull the trigger on these irons, they will treat you exceptionally well. The T-200 is an excellent head and produces easy distance. It sounds like you have landed on an excellent combination, long may they make you happy. 😊

Really sad how handfuls of wedges are better than a Vokey but they can’t get the notoriety, good looking wedges!

Just picked up a TSr3 5 wood, got a smoking deal in it because it came with a 40g R2 shaft…. So picked up an AD-DI 7x today but it has a TM adapter so ended up getting some shaft pulling stuff lol.

Trying to find some KBS Tour 130x iron shafts to replace my 120s. Also trying to replace the staff bag, it’s just a touch heavy 😂

With Lacassem posting wedges, that bug is in my ear. Oh the off-season….
