MattWillGolf 2,704
I may have caught the new bag bug. There really isn’t anything wrong with my current bag. Everything has its place but occasionally clubs don’t want to seat properly. I was looking on the Golf Galaxy website for a cart bag. I walk the course using a pushcart so something slightly larger isn’t a big deal. The MyGolfSpy “Best Value” bag, Maxfli Honors+ is on sale for $179.99. Im leaning towards a bit of color in my bag. The other nice thing about a cart bag is the strap won’t get in the way while on the cart like it does with my stand bag. 5 Quote Ping CB-P226 Hoofer Cart Bag Ping G400 Max 10.5° w/Ping Alta CB PXG 0341 3 wood 15° w/Project X Even Flow Blue Ping G30 19° 3 Hybrid w/Ping TFC 419H Ping G25 4 - UW w/Ping CFS Callaway Mack Daddy CB 54°/14° w/KBS 105 Hi-Rev 2.0 Callaway MD3 58°/9° W Grind w/True Temper Dynamic Gold Evnroll ER11v 34” Evnroll ER11v Official Review Snell MTB-Black or Maxfli Tour Mileseey PF210 Laser Rangefinder Shot Scope Pro LX+ Tester Clicgear 3.5+

I was thinking of the Sun Mountain 2.5 14 way, but the color options are very limited. I’ve always owned plain black bags, but now that I’m feeling adventurous it seems the options are limited. Any suggestions guys? BTW the less “branding” on the bag, the better. I've been sporting the Titleist Hybrid 14 for over a year now and LOVE it! I actually started with the Ogio Woode, didn't like it, so took it back to get the Sun Mountain 4.5 that was just not very sturdy when upright and I just don't like the Sun Mountain stand mechanism.. so I finally returned it for the Titleist Hybrid 14. (Thank goodness for Dick's and their no hassle + teenagers that just don't give a crap return policy) 14 way bags are a tricky one because the lighter ones have to cut back on material to stay light, so you usually find that they don't have full length dividers. IMO, what good is a 14 way bag if the grips get all jammed up at the bottom? I wouldn't say that the Titleist Hybrid 14 is the lightest, but I've had full carry rounds with it and if planned correctly, you can get it to a very comfortable carry weight and size. It's not overly bulky and all of the compartments are tucked and designed very well. Here is the unofficial MGS review that I did on it Another option if you're looking for something a little more budget friendly and want to keep with the black theme is the Maltby 14 way bag. I was looking at this the other day. Maltby makes some top level golf clubs. I'm sure this bag is just a general production bag that they put their name on but I'm also sure they put some effort into sourcing a product that they were happy to put their name on. https://www.golfworks.com/maltby-stand-bag-14-way-top-black/p/magb00114w/ 1 1 Quote STZ 10.5* / Fujikura MotoreX F1 6X F6 3 Wood 14* / Kuro Kage Silver 65X F8 6 wood 20* / Fujikura MotoreX F3 6S RADSpeed Hybrid 24* RAZR X Muscleback Irons/FCM Precision 6.5 Rifle TSW Wedges - 50/6 + 56/12 EAS 1.0 / Grip master 2.0 MAXFLI Tour CG

Hopefully having the 5W in the cart will keep the hybrid in line. 2

Then my wife said she wanted a 3W, so went to CPO and got her an Epic Speed 3W and threw in an Epic Max 3W for me too. I thought the Heavenwood would be my longest FW club because I have never hit 3W consistently. Today was my first real test using the 3W and it's outstanding!! Now I'm thinking that the Epic Max 9W will replace my other hybrid. 3 1 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Thin2win 3,895
I went to a PXG fitting yesterday at Circling Raven... Their driver is definitely not for me(either gen 5 version). but their FW woods.... I really want to grab their 7w and 5w. I was hitting the 7w with a 5w F3 Motore shaft, and the 5W with the 3w version of the same shaft... so good. The extra length in the shafts gave me so extra speed/height on my shots. Super consistent and easy to hit. I was dropping the 7w in a pretty neat group right around the 215-220y mark and the 5w right at 230y's. Not sure it is worth the extra few yards for the 5w.. But that 220y 7w really has me wanting one. Now to come to terms with the $459 price with that shaft(including the veterans discount).... 4 1 Quote WITB: Driver: SIM2 Max 12° - Accra TZ6 M4 FW Wood: Gen5 0311 7w Fujikura Motore X F3 Utility: King Forged 20.5° Utility - Catalyst X Irons: D7 Forged GW-5i - Recoils Wedges: JB 52° , 286 56° Putter: MySpider X Cart: Onewheel XR+ Ball: Z-Star Diamond

While there are no constants in golf, most should not have a 3 wood in their bag and that includes single digit index players. So a 5 wood is a good choice. Many are surprised to find they hit a 5 wood higher and longer than the 3 wood they were playing because trajectory and spin are your friends with a fairway wood. 3 Quote Driver: LTDx 10.5* ... Personally, I prefer using a 4 wood of 16.5 loft, so I'd be looking really hard at the 5 wood. It will be easier to hit off tighter lies than a 3 wood and it's doubtful that you'll lose any significant distance by going with the 5 wood. 4 Quote Driver: Rogue ST Max (10.5* set at N) -- Mitsubishi Tensai Blue 55g R shaft Fairway: Rogue ST Max 3 wood (16.5*) and Heaven Wood (20*)-- Mitishibishi Tensai Blue 55g R shaft Hybrids: M6 4 -- Fujikura Atmos R shaft Irons: Apex CF19 6-9, PW, AW -- KBSTour Graphite TGI 70 shafts R +1/2 inch 3* upright Wedges: Edison 53* and 57* KBS PGI 80 Graphite +1/2 inch 2* upright Putter: Stroke Lab 7S Ball: Maxfli TourX Golf Bag: Pioneer My Photography can be seen at Smugmug
