I've tried but no bueno. Been barking up that tree for years now. It has to be used for stuff in the clubhouse.

And they won't let me use it on food or drinks either.

then start using it towards food and beverage. Take your family to dinner on you.

If you don't need any new clubs then overhaul your wardrobe. Shies, pants, shirts, outerwear

oh so its pro shop credit, not clubhouse credit.

I'd just buy a couple Scotty Cameron's and flip them

I went to the club today to do a little practicing for our rounds tomorrow.  The men's group was getting ready to play, and the pro was playing with them.  He had a brand new cover for our brand new Yamaha rental carts.  Looks pretty nice, good fit and you can just throw it on.  They are selling them in the pro shop, and I am thinking about buying one for winter golf this year... $219 +tax.

They call it clubhouse credit but yea it's really pro shop credit. One of the 3 courses will let me use it on snacks and drinks but the other 2 won't. Full meals are a no as well.

I personally don't like how they do it. Which is one of a few reasons that yours truly, the reigning season points champ, is looking for a new club.

I just bought a set of early 90's Macgregor CB92 heads, 1-PW for a winter project. I remember when they came out, man I wanted those clubs but no way I could afford them. Made a deal for the heads for $110. I think I'm gonna shaft them with some KBS C-Taper Lite shafts, but not sure I want to put that much money in what is basically a back up set. They are actually quite similar to my KZG's I play now, so I figured I could try out a different shaft then I currently use and have fun with them.

... I did more than think. If there are any clubs that make the least amount of difference in terms of scoring, it has to be irons. If you are already playing irons that work for you it is difficult to achieve a performance boost with new irons. Yet they are so seductive. A new look, a new feel. I had a Nike Forged 48* wedge in my bag that I never liked the look of, especially after a marginal shot. I finally replaced it with a Nike Forged Pro Combo pw bent to 48* that I found for a steal in a set of pw-9-8 for $69. Put it in my bag and loved it from the very first shot. In fact, I liked it so much I put the 9 and 8 in my bag too. Just found the 7 iron and the 5/6PC for $49 each and will put Recoils in them. Again, I am not expecting any difference in performance, just a different feel that is so very sweet and a great look at address. $216 total. Not a bad find for New Nike Forged Combo irons ... yet completely unnecessary.

I recently picked up a used Callaway XR16 Sub Zero and plan on posting a full review on it some time next week as I've only had one round with it, but I will say that I hit 8 of 10 fairways with it and the average distance was 15 yards longer than my Ping G LS Tec due to lower spin. I'm playing 3 rounds with it in the Myrtle Beach area this weekend so will be able get a really good feel for it after that.

All of that being said, I ran into the Callaway rep at my local fitter a couple of days ago and he had the new GBB Epic Sub Zero driver there. I didn't get to hit but I liked the look from address and now it will be on my mind constantly until it's release date in late January. It looked "EPIC"! He also gave me a couple of the new Chrome Soft X balls that are coming out in January to test and I'm going to try them out this weekend. The new forged Callaway wedges looked nice as well. Lots of thing to consider for early next year!

The new M1 430 got here today, just in time for tomorrow's round!!!! I can't wait! I really liked the Kuro Kage Silver TiNi when I played it in my Z545 driver, so I'm pretty stoked to get it on-course!!!

Well. The M1 430 experiment ended... Just way too light and not as forgiving as I would like. I was able to find a website that agreed to take it straight-up for the M1 460 with a Rogue 70 X shaft in it. Last try. Nice to try stuff for free!!!!

I just ordered a custom Sand Wedge to match my awesome Gap Wedge in the Cobra F6 iron set. With the new clus coming out, the price droppe to $88 so I entered my custom specs and it is on it's way.  This will give me  a sand wedge 55* to match my Gap Wedge 50* .....so I will remove my 53* & 57* SCOR wedges and enter the Sand Wedge.  This will give me an extra slot in my bag, so i will probably alternate the  Cobra Baffle 4 wood and the Bombtech 4 Hybrid.

Thinking about switching to some Bridgestone j15's from my mizuno jpx this season. Anyone play these irons? Are they any good? And most importantly are they forgiving?

Has anyone tired out the Ping G irons? Any feed back would be sweet. Thinking about replacing a set of RSI 1's

Down the line when the prices drop, Srixon Z565/765 combo irons would be sweet. Maybe a new carry bag from Sun Mountain 3.5LS.
