So 49, 52, 60? If it works it works. But knowing you can make certain shots is key. I just revamped from 50, 56, 60 to 50, 54, 58 to keep even gapping (small mindset thing I think).

In all honesty, it works. Sand where I play is often firm so I have little need for a high bounce wedge.

The 52 is so versatile for me that I can keep the ball low and run it out and still get it up in the air when needed.

There is something to be said for comfort-ability....could be difficult to revamp and not have certain shots you have come accustomed to. For me the new CBX2 I was fitted for is going to help me with a lot of things...I adjusted gapping just to do it (couple degrees here and there) I will be able to do the same thing with the 58 I relied on the 60 for.

CBX wedges are awesome. I really like that Cleveland made a CBX full face groove wedge. When I get through the HiToe, they’ll be on the list to try.

Been dreaming about upgrading to new Mizuno irons since the fall....was planning to get fit in March but the event was cancelled.

Either JPX 919's or the MP 20 HMB's have been keeping me up at night just waiting for a fitter to be open here in the Northeast......

I’ve been eyeing these up too. But I was expecting the colors that he originally wore. Still a possibility.

The tour version hasn't released yet, supposedly May 11. I think the one you're referring to is the "pro" version that's up on NDC right now.

Did they finally release the Air Zoom Infinity Tour?  I look for it once a week, but never see it anywhere

I've read May 11 on a couple of sites but might be the same person spreading misinformation. I've also heard they released for a day and sold out instantly but I get notifications on the Nike app when new stuff drops and didn't get one so I'm skeptical. Also the Nike app spams me so often I'm about to disable notifications completely, lol.

There are parking spots on the street, but they require passes (which we have) and the kicker is they're for guests only. We have a two car garage and my original plan was to park my car on the street since my wife likes to leave crap in her car. Once my wife found out the street parking in the neighborhood is for guests only, that killed the garage hitting station idea. Not a huge deal, but definitely inconvenient at this particular time.

Actually very common with HOA's in CA. House, condo, whatever. Minimize cars in street for looks. 🙄

While I know lots of folks are following the stay at home guidance, what I find strange is how many 'guests' are parked in those spots. I've been here 3 weeks and have literally seen ONE empty spot during that time.

So I found Honma TW-G1x golf balls at golfballs.com for 12.95. Seriously good ball for that price. On the same level as any tour ball. Bought 6 dozen. Staff said they only have about 100 dozen left and should sell out by end of day tomorrow.

Don’t know why, but graphite iron shafts are on my mind. No issues with my current shafts, but with all the advances I would like to give them a try.

I play 120gr steel so wouldn’t even know where to start. I tried Harry’s Fujikura graphite shafts when I was at MGS headquarters but they were a bit stout for me.

Being a big KBS fan, I would love to give the TGI shafts a try. But would love to do some experimentation to see how others work.

My only complaint is graphite iron shafts can be expensive.

I am not sure what got into me, but I thought I needed the 5i to match my 6-PW Bridgestones.  These irons are SGI with Nippon steel shafts that weigh about 82g.  The light weight and soft flex is the only reason I went with steel two years ago.  Well, that and I got them new for $280.  At my age I should be using graphite, but they worked for me.  Well, I thought that if I put a graphite shaft in the 5i, it would be easier to hit than the 6i, which is OK but not great.  I wanted to try the KBS TGI shaft.  I ordered the 5i from Bridgestone (on clearance) but they couldn't give me a club that would be longer than my 6i using the TGI shaft (even though it's stock at 39", their assembled club would be 39"?  Didn't understand that.).  So, ordering the 5i with the same stock steel shaft as my clubs, I removed the steel shaft and put in a Paderson Kinetixx TS1 which is 40", so my assembled club is 41".  That is the 3i length, but my 5i is 22º loft so it's close to a 3i loft. I suppose it's soft-stepped twice. The weight of shaft is about the same as the steel shaft.  I wanted this club to be like a driving iron, specifically for a couple of longish par 3 holes on my course.  I ordered it from Golfworks, and decided to have it pured.  Didn't trim the butt and the swingweight came in at D5, which is a little higher than the D2 for my irons.  Might take a little off the butt.

Well...... yesterday I had an opportunity to take it to a course.  Played 18.  First couple of swings were a little wild; high push, low hook.  I used that club on most long par 3's and several times for second shots on par 4's and 5's.  After I got use to it, I started loving it.  The trajectory was higher than my 6i and a lot more distance.  I could actually hit a high draw whereas a draw with the 6i is out of the question.  I could hit it quite well off the turf, even though I need to flatten the lie about 2 degrees.  Our only golf shop in town that adjusted my irons is closed, so it may be awhile before I can get it adjusted.  It could easily replace my 5H, but I will need to give it a few more tries.

Now I'm thinking that I should replace the shafts in my other irons, and you are right.  It can get expensive, and I picked a relatively inexpensive shaft.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

As I've said before, I'm a prolific window shopper.  There are always things on my list of stuff to consider.  But even before the article about them, I had come across Ben Hogan Edge irons.  They look amazing!  Weakness finally overcame me to demo a pair of them.  I probably don't have the skills for forged clubs of any level, but as they say, $20 is $20.

I had to google what "SWMBO" meant. Going to use that one now.

I believe it originated with David Feherty. At least that’s where I saw it first when he was doing back page in Golf magazines.

You just read the results. Try being one of the people that tests each of those clubs. Puts me in ponder mode all the time. I liked the blades and then I tested the mallets....I need to try a mallet putter!

The wife gave me the green light to get a launch monitor for my upcoming birthday/celebration of student loan debt paid off.  I've been looking for ages, but now that I have a green light,  i'm debating on what's right.  What I would prefer is something that has a game aspect to it, where I can see ball flight and numbers so that takes a lot of the monitors out of play.

Pretty much narrows it to the Rapsodo R motion or just go full in on a SkyTrak.  Leaning towards the SkyTrak, but unsure on which package might be the best for courses and games?

Could even go with Rapsodo to see game aspect and buy a mevo (voted best indoor monitor) for numbers but that seems like a lot of work and a nuisance.
