Well since I was last on I've made a few changes and took some new photos. Got a new Driver, new Hybrid, and a new Iomic putter grip and some Rocket tours. Hope you all like it.

 

Current Set up is now:

Very nice bag you have, you just need to have a Titleist or Cobra 3 wood and we can call you Mr. Acushnet. LOL. Looking forward to pics..... we must have pics.

Cool bag ... AP2 is sweet and remarkably user friendly, in my personal opinion.

 

Do you have the 1st version, or the current version?

This is a very nice players bag...but the Cobra DWS seems out of characher compared to the rest of the set make up. Is the Cobra the tour model?

Thanks for the comments guys. Tim, I have looked at Cobra and Titleist 3 woods but the Adams is working for me and I dont plan on chaning it also cus it is so new to my bag( 5 months). I also have the 1st version of the AP2's, not a huge fan of the new ones. The Cobra has been in my bag for 4 years or so. It could be upgraded but it works for me and I see no need to change it but I was thinking about going to look for a new hybrid. Going to go up to Haggin Oaks in Sacramento and since they have everything there I may see if I can get my hands on a Titleist hybrid.

If you get to where you are looking for a new fairway wood then you should try the Titleist 909F3. I absolutely love mine...hands down one fo the best fairway woods I have ever hit.

Still no pictures guys sorry but I did make a new addition to the bag today. My buddy gave me is 906f4 15.5* w/ stiff UST Proforce V2. Gonna game it for a bit to decided if I want it for $60 or if I want something else.

The 1st Gen AP series apparently has more bounce which makes it a bit easier to hit. Is this so ?

You know I don't know if the 1st Gen AP has more bounce or not. I haven't even held the new AP2's so I can't even tell what they look like aside from the pictures online. What I do love though is that the 1st gen AP2 is very easy to hit. When I started playing with them about 1 1/2 years ago I was a 14 and with ok ballstriking. Now I am a 9 mostly due to my short game but the irons are easier to hit. It didn't take me long to get used to them. I love the ball flight that I have with the Project X 5.5's in there and the 4 iron is so easy to hit it's like hitting a 6 iron.

 

How do you like the driver? Have you tried it against the 909?

 

 

I love my 907. I bought it used in fairly good condition off ebay for $120 right before the 909 came out. I have used my friends 909 D3 w/ Diamana Blueboard and it feels real good. It makes me want to get the 9090 D2 but I hit my 907 just as good as any driver out there so for me there is no need to change. I'll probably get fitted for the 909 when the new line comes out.

Nice setup. I agree that the first gen AP2 irons are a bit better than the 2nd. Don't be in a big hurry to replace a stick that works though. If the Cobra is doing the job, keep it.

I have had the previous version for 2 years and i loved it. I have switched to the new ones a short while ago and I love them even more. The look at adress is completly the same, there is only a slightly softer feel at impact and You can tell more when You mis-hit which i like. There is also a significant improvment in how it handles tricky lies and if You like to shape Your low shots as well it works perfectly.

 

Give them a go, I am sure You will like them

Well this weekend I gave them a try. I still am a fan on the original AP2 only because I didn't see much of an impovement in performance out of the new set and I like the look of the 1st set better. I did however also try out the 710 CB and those irons are money. If I was in the market for new irons I'd think about getting those.

Well I just ordered the 909D2 9.5* w/ the Titleist Voodoo Stiff shaft. Should be here next week so I can't wait to go try it out. I've also added a 18* Titleist 585.H to my bag since my original post.
