Tour edge does make a quality fairway wood for what's it's worth.

 

@Fireinthehole check the protopype 80x out. It was lower launch to me. Its an old shaft that people forget about a lot.

Aldila makes the Protopype.

I thought the heavier black ties were close but not as low. The 80X Ahina launched a little higher but still uber low spin.

Ah I see I know most high kick point shafts are usually butt soft and I hate those, the motore speeder was the first that was butt stiff.

I just have never liked the ahina line felt too squirly, the kuro kage I'm using now is butt stiff.

Ahina's overall profile does end up being a bit softer but it also depends on the weight you used. The Ahina line is weird bc the shafts get progressively stiffer the heavier the weight. With that said 70S is close to 60x, 80s is close to 70x and so on. I liked the feel of the Ahina alot in the heavier models.

 

The Protopype is a stiffer and lower launch profile overall though. Personally I liked the Fuji Speeder ts line but it never was more than just pretty good for me.

 

What KK you using? I had a 60 or 70x previously and hated it for some reason. Wish I had gotten a hold of a 70TX.

Unfortunately, Tour Edge has minimal presence in Europe... so don't have that many options.

I'll check the Vapor Fly out.

Not to thread jack, but the kk silver tini 70x tipped 1", I was using oban kiyoshi black 65x tipped the same, both are the same according to my fitter.

I game an XHot pro 3deep, it launches low and runs out a ton, doesn't hook (much) and feels great. PX stiff shaft. Pretty cheap these days, but if you just want a shaft, look up Arthur Extreme (sp?) They're very nice, and very cheap.

I had an Ahina in a 910d2 and loved that set up, but I think this goes back to the butt being stiffer in the KK, same reason I like and do better with project x shafts vs dynamic golds.

If it's low launch, then do not get the cobra F6 Baffler......with the rear weight, this baby gets airborne!  I will try the weight in the front soon.  That is supposed to lower the flight.

Foz I have it and for me when I put the weights in the front it indeed launches lower with way more roll and can also be altered by changing loft as well, I have spent a long while figuring out the correct settings for me but it's an awesome 3 wood!

Great, Ill change the weight when the course dries out this winter......for now I am satisfied with the high launch. I am using 16* and getting about 180 out of an easy swing off the deck.
