I finally convinced myself to pay $17.00 for a 4 pack of New Holland "Dragon's Milk". This stuff is like desert in a glass. 10% abv. I could get spoiled, but I'd need to find a second job.  :)

It's ok to splurge now and then..... ;)   It is cool when you find that really special delicious brew . Now you got me wanting to pick up a pack of Dragon's Milk for the Holidays.  :P

See if you can find some Reformation Cadence :). Reformed Belgian Ale. Extra tasty.  Eagle Brewing has a very nice Vanilla Coffee Bean Stout that is also exceptional.

Will do partner. If Five Points in Athens doesn't carry it, I guarantee they will get some for a customer.  Largest selection of beer I have ever seen ..

If you can get it Dogfish 120 is a great beer. A bit pricey but one a night is enough.

I get totally overwhelmed when I'm trying to decide on a new beer to try.   Thank goodness for those on here who have good suggestions!

This video is not very clear however you can get the jist on all the selections available.  Funny thing is you only can see the middle section of the coolers that I am attempting to video.  Much taller and I would have to stand much farther away to get the full view.

Now you've done it! You will curse that it only comes in a 4 pack for that price...lol. Enjoy!

Thanks! lol  I can normally buy a 12 pack of my regular beer for that price  .  I was going to pop one tonight however I am going to wait until tomorrow night.  I want those puppies ice cold when I lay a lip lock on that frosty mug! :D

There are so many good craft beers I wouldn't know where to start. I've always enjoyed Koch's (Sam Adams) Old Fezziwig Ale at this time of the year. Sadly you have to get it in a package with a lot of stuff I'm not so fond of.

Being just a simple country boy,  let me ask-what exactly is a craft beer.   Ya see, if I have a cold Coors Light or Natty Bo, I'm a happy camper.  I guess my beer pallet is rather uneducated.   Perhaps, threads such as this can refine this good ole boy.

While I don't know much about beer, when it comes to "shine", I can offer some advice.   If ever offered some, pour a bit in a cap and put a match to it.   If the flame ain't clear or blue, don't drink it.

Lol I just recently (last couple of years) starting trying all these fancy brews. Let me tell ya old buddy, there's some pretty good surprises to be found! This thread will be a good guide on some to pop a top on.

Is this an expensive hobby to brew your own beer?

Now that I have the equipment, no it's not. It costs me about $36 for 2.5 cases of very good beer. You can get set up for extract brewing for as little as $250 and ingredient kits for $25. I all grain brew, so the price goes up for ingredients and equipment, but so does the quality of the brew by a long shot.

I started out doing extract brewing on the stove in the kitchen. Now I have to brew in the garage because of what and how I'm doing mine.

Wow I'm impressed with the cost factor.  For "very good beer", that is a heck of a deal.  Good on you!

I popped the top on one of these last night and it's definitely a dark rich beer!  The color and texture, reminds me of some motor oil that I took out of a 56 chevy back in the day, that had been sitting too long in the barn.  It does have a very rich desert type quality to it.  I'll have to dive into another one post golf round today for more research. :P

I used to home brew, never quite got to full mashing. I've stopped now as beer brewing and winemaking (from my backyard Shiraz vines) don't mix too well.
