Watched my son play football this morning (and break away for his first offensive TD of the year) and record 11 tackles on D. Now I am holed up watching golf before we head away to FL for vacation tomorrow. USA..USA....USA!!!

Great win for team USA and Europe was classy in defeat. Great showing by both teams.

I watched all the matches.  Reed vs McIlroy was amazing, but so was Phil vs Sergio.  Halving the match was only fitting.  They both shot lights out!!

This was some of the best golf we will ever see in our lifetime. We saw the best golf that could happen by both teams, phenomenal to watch, Phil and Sergio was spectacular golf, 19 birdies between the 2. Rickie vs Rose, another incredible match, reed vs Rory, shot after shot after shot, these 3 matches were so awesome, and the sportsmanship was spot on, they all went back and forth with each other, and made this a great cup to watch. Let's do it again

It's always fun to read a thread like this after the fact. 

 

Not a lot of suspense yesterday - I had the opposite reaction to Undershooter in that when I saw the pairings after church I thought, "Done deal."  But it was the only option for Clark - put his hottest players out early and hope that they could get momentum on their side. 

 

The Rory/Reid and Sergio/Phil matches were absolutely as good as it gets and Ryan Moore's fairway wood on 16 to cement his comeback was spectacular. 

 

The matches in 2 years should be great - Europe will be out to prove that this was a blip and the US squad will be wanting to show that there has been a changing of the guard. 

 

Good stuff - wish a few nutso spectators hadn't of acted like jerks.

Definitely wish there were less a-holes out there making the American fans look bad. 

 

I didn't like how we matched up in the 1st 6 matches but I thought we should win 5 of the last 6 matches. So I guess I thought we were going to win but I don't like momentum swings in the Ryder cup with 3 or 4 wins in a row going against us. Of course Reed came up HUGE when Rory ran out of steam and closed him out on 18. I felt like that was huge and set the stage for the rest of the day for the US squad. Had McIlroy beaten Reed then I think we might have been looking at a much closer Ryder cup. 

 

Loved Moore as a Captains pick and so glad that worked out in our favor as he was so clutch coming down the stretch. Brandt continues his match play toughness and Koepka despite his lack of air time was just as good as advertised. I think Brooks may be the best young golfer we never get to hear about. 

 

The Euros have a young stud in Pieters too. That's for sure! Kid was like iceman.

Yes, congrats to Davis Love III and the whole team.  I think they should take a well-deserved rest after the grueling weeks of majors, Olympics, and FedEX playoff events.  Time to chill.

Good point with Fowler. I didn't think he had a shot pre match.

Fair play it was a great result for the US and they outplayed Europe throughout.

 

The golf was incredible at times.

 

We won't see as many birdies in France! It's a much harder course and I'm sure it'll be set up to punish. But as with majors it's good to have different tests. Boring if they are all the same.

 

I will be there (with luck!) and hopefully we can see a close finish.......with a European win!

 

As for stupid fans? Well we know it's a minority, but it had an impact and that's what they wanted to achieve. Did it make a difference to the result? Nope. But to see players like Rory and Justin take abuse when they live in the states and are big supporters of the US Tour?
