I thought I'd scroll through this offering again to see what everyone is saying. Turns out.... nothing!

Personally and as I wrote on page 2 (I think) this isn't a very appealing concept to me/men IMHO. Guess I'm wrong. Turns out a ton of you guys would like a box O' clothes. Especially free clothes. LOL

However, would you actually signup as a paying monthly customer? Would you? I certainly would not. There's just no way in hell they could guess what I like. Additionally, when you make a return it costs you $9.95 and then they'll just try and guess again what you'd like to replace the return item.

If I make a local store purchase I can return for free and make my own selection. (online too in many cases)

What I'd like to know/see is the retention rate of customers and for how many months people keep their membership alive. Not many I'd predict.

Oh well.

Plaid, I am a little skeptical as well except that other services like Stitch Fix and Trunk club are making this kind of sales model work. The difference is that they are selling cloths that can be worn at work and casually. 59GolfBox would be trying to target a very specific niche, golf clothing and other "soft" equipment items. My skepticism stems from the small market potential.

By the way, shopping at home through services like this is amazing. IMHO their stylists are very good. My wife is the pickiest shopper ever and buys a lot through stick fix.

I looked a bit more into this.  I didn't quite get it at first.  I'm not sure I could use 60 dollars worth of golf clothing every month.  I know they toss in some gloves and stuff but either you don't get much or you'd need to be playing nearly every day to make it worth it; and living in the NE with snow 3+ months out of the year I can't see how this would work.  I suppose you can cancel at a certain point but I'm more in the wait and see camp.

BTW - did anyone get selected for this?  It's been open a really long time...
