Talked to my GP Doc about the CBD oil. My Doc knows little about it but is trying to get info about it. He has 1 patient who had tremendous results with the oil but other patients started off great but the results really didn’t last very long.
Rev if you’re doing well with the cream that’s great. I’m going to look for some of the cream and see if it can help my knee.

My doctor was clear that the oil brings mixed results it the cream always works. That’s why I went with the cream. It’s working for me

Yeah it makes sense to be able to apply the pain reliever directly to the desired area(s).

Ask your doc about Tizanidine.  It's a generic muscle relaxer and is cheap.  I take one 4mg tablet before bed, and I am out like a light.  Better than any sleep aid I took when I was traveling overseas.

I tried melatonin; didn't work for me.  Got the prescription strength... nothing.  Tizanidine worked great and no side affects.

No comparison - it’s much more effective than anything I’ve ever used.

So admittedly, I don't "love" golf this time of year and chasing the ball among leaves and dormant grass in low light conditions just isn't much fun to me. So instead, these last several weeks I have instead been focusing on (and really enjoying) going to my club and playing and practicing wedges almost exclusively. It's kinda turned into an addiction and I've found myself enjoying it and thinking alot about ways to improve. Most of my time has been spent in 2 areas: 1) working on and collecting alot of data for distances for each wedge with half, 3/4, and full swings, with two wedges also having an added "specialty" distance 2) playing games going around the course like playing 18 holes playing only shots from 60-125yd and keeping proximity to hole, and also dropping a second ball in or around green inside 40 yards and keeping track of strokes and/or up and downs.

It's really captured me, planning to go do more of the same with this today.

Edit: as to the underlined above, this has been fascinating to me and has really quieted my mind on distances and shots........and the net result (+/-) in turn has been knowing/having 13 different "go to shots/yardages" between 62 yards and 127 yards. How cool!

I may have to do this or something similar.

Awesome. I suspect this kind of thing could help almost anyone, I'll elaborate on it alittle.

I thought some folks seemed to "pick distances" they want to learn to hit wedges and go that route, fine nothing wrong there if that works. I opted a different route and thought, "if given a target line only and not given a set distance, how far does the same half swing, 3/4 swing, and full swing for each wedge go." This way I could loose the fixation of "learning the distance" I was trying to achieve and instead focus on something I felt was uniquely repeatable to my body and swing, across 4 different clubs. Then and only then I felt I had a good (and if not, good, much better) understanding of my carry numbers as it related to swing length which should be the same while learning my unique carry yardages for each club. This was my "data collection" portion.

Then what was left was go and apply those findings in a "game" where I just filled out a scorecard with 50-75, 76-100, 101-125 on it (in lieu of players names) and each hole I'd alternate which "distance zone" I was to play from, keep score and proximity to the hole for each and learn to apply my swings and yardages while monitoring for any surprises as it related in miss clubbing or wind. All of this turned out to be alot whole lot of fun.

A trampoline park opened-up that has a simulator that one can rent. I went for an hour. First time I’ve swung in 2 mos. Nice to get a chance to do this though. With all of the rain our ranges won’t be open for awhile.

The view .. zoom in, that's Long Island Sound in the background .. way more than makes up for the old, beat range balls and hitting "downhill" off the roof of the cart garage!

Had a pretty solid practice session, after a bunch of putting and chipping, and am actually starting to feel positive about the '20 golfing season!!

Oh - that's a new EXS 3W/HL in the bag (17° so kinda like a 4W) and that thing is a rocket launcher .. .. ka-pow! 😆

While at the simulator, I was hoping to get my gap between my driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, and hybrid to figure out which ones “go”, but it showed my 7 iron going 195... I scrapped the idea when I saw the yardages “on the range”. With 30 min to go, I switched to playing Pebble. Well, yardages went back to “normal”. Kind of frustrating. I really want to know how far I hit the woods and hybrid so I can get rid of one. Ugh.

Interesting. I found there is a difference in distance between the driving range and playing the courses on the simulator. Generally my drives are about 10-15 yards longer on the course. So for the driving range part I'm focusing on technique. Course play on the sim is just for fun.

Today was the first nice weather we've had in a while and a great day to be at the range. I started out with wedges and was hitting hosel rocket after hosel rocket. This older gentleman walked up to me and asked if he could look at my swing and offer some help. He explained to me he had been a golf instructor for over 60 years (he was 86, and hitting the ball nicely).

I obliged and took a couple of full swings with my 8 irons. He had me to adjust my grip and gave me some advice on lower body rotation. I started to see some improvement, especially in accuracy.

He then wanted to go back and watch me hit some wedges and noticed that I was relying on my right hand way too much. He had me hit some balls focusing on my left arm and shoulder and quieting my right. It definitely improved my contact.

He asked me to do some swings at home to try to ingrain what he showed me.

This is the first time I've ever had someone watch and give advice, and I'm thankful he took the time out of his day to offer it. Fred was a great gentleman and I really enjoyed listening to the story of how he got into teaching. I hope I run into him again and can show some improvement when I do.

Got out the net and hit in the backyard today. Did rotation drills, then 1/2 swings, into full swings. Turns out my net has a second hole in it! I, nervously, watched a ball sail between the homes behind us (downhill), then landed on a street on a direct line from me. All I thought was, “Nice flight, and straight! DON’T HIT A HOUSE OR A CAR!!!!!”

I took the opportunity to hit balls today while it was sunny and 70*, plus, it’s supposed to rain the next couple days and drop into the low 50s. I did a bunch of drills, and then sent video in for a lesson. I received the feedback tonight, so looking forward to moving forward!!!

Changes from my lesson started to click a bit better at the range yesterday. Still had the heat on, but I broke a sweat by the time I got through my buckets.

Trying to feel more up and less around in the backswing. I was mostly successful and really liked the positions I got in. I sent this particular shot to my coach - I'm a little across the line at the top and still a touch deep with the hands, but the results have been a lot better.
