Shankster
How’s this for dispersion from 65 yards? The close ones are all within my shoe length apart. The stray one was 3 shoe lengths from the others... Obviously really mucky, gives good feed back for landing the ball. But the neighbors across the road just have a fish camp there. So the let me hit balls over there. I could hit as much as a full PW without getting into too much trouble. My parents have 20 acres... gigantic hill right in the middle of it, good for sledding, and hunting, but not for golfing. It's easy to use and gives such good feedback on ball striking. The only downside today was I had to dry the range balls off from where it's been a little wet out here. It was well worth it. ....... You mentioned that missing left seems to be a consistent issue....Besides the foot spray marks on the face, check where the mat rash is on the sole of the club. It looks like it may be concentrated toward the heel of the club which may give a clue about the lie angle you need. Hit a few balls that have a vertical line marked with a sharpie and see how the line transfers to the face of the club. If consistently vertical you are likely OK, if it consistently leans toward the toe or heel an adjustment in lie angle is probably in your future. sirchunksalot and cksurfdude 2 Quote Modern Bag: G410 LST 10.5*, Hzrdus Smoke RDX 6.5 Flex; 915F 3w, Diamana S+ 70 S flex; Snake Eyes 18* 2h, 23* 4h & 27* 5h; JPX 900 Forged 6 - PW, PX LZ 6.0; Edison 2.0 49*, 53*, 57* KBS Tour 120 S; Heppler Fetch; Ball - MTB-X; Bag - Jones MyGolfSpy Edition! Thanks for the advice, and sorry I'm so late in replying back. I looked at the mat rash and it looked somewhat consistent across the bottom. I meant to take a photo, but forgot until after I washed my clubs. I will get one the next time I'm at the range and I'll also try to do the sharpie trick and see how it looks. I'm hoping the rain forecast for the weekend goes away at least long enough for me to hit some. Ventus Blue 7x vs Diamana ZF 60TX. so far Ventus won out in session one with both distance and dispersion. I hit the same tree at back of range 5 times in a row with Ventus. Impressed so far with TSi3. It was 40 degrees today so hoping to do more comparison when it gets warmer this weekend. cksurfdude
I also finished the season being disappointed in my chipping... Problems with distance control, both short and long, and was 2-chipping too often..... Had my second lesson yesterday where we focused just on chipping - using just a very simple almost putting like stroke - and then the instructor set up the sim to place me (well, the virtual me) into various greenside situations. Was having much more success getting the ball just onto the green and rolling out to reasonably near the hole. So I will be practicing chipping A LOT over the Winter! One lane backed up. Turn around, come home. Today - ha ha I'm smart, I'm going to the range in the opposite direction! Get there .. everything appears strangely quiet .. pull in .. yep: range closed. Vegan_Golfer_PNW
tried to work on my long game today. Driver is a wreck with the new technique. I almost want to abandon it to save my drivers life. I went back to my close to single plane swing and then things worked better. 3w was a struggle, even coked a little down. 3H was best it’s been and making me consider keeping it. DI was solid of the deck. what impressed me most was some really solid mid iron strikes today and some wedge distance control practice. If I can ever get my long game figured out, watch out. cksurfdude, Rickp, sirchunksalot and 4 others 7 Quote Follow my journey to enjoying golf and going low Driver: Epic Max LS Ventus Black 6x 44.5" 3wHL: Rogue ST LS 75x Tensei AV Blue w/ xlink 7w: Apex UW 21* MMT 80S DI: Caley 01X 18* with KBS PGH Stiff plus 95g 4-AW: 0211 with KBS Tour Stiff 2.5* up 3/4" long, Soft stepped, MOI matched Wedges Zipcore Putter: L.A.B. GolfSpy_SHARK
As I’ve said before No gym this past year has been....shittttay. My stretching for the first half of the year was mediocre at best and it shows over the season. While stretching isn’t proactive it’s helloing. Since starting my clean eating diet I’ve been stretching like crazy and it’s paying off. 2 stretches that have been fantastic are: Don’t know what this ones called but the below is “90/90” sirchunksalot, Shapotomous, cksurfdude and 5 others 8 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran?
