Vegan_Golfer_PNW
After seeing others get on the planemate boat, I decided to do some check up drills with the divot board this morning. Shapotomous
Play and practice time has been hard to come by the last few weeks limiting my golf to the 9 hole league and my scoring has been very disappointing. Last week I had a great night driving the ball and sucky night with the wedge play and putting. So last evening I carved out 1/2 hour to hit wedges in the back yard then putted for a while and this morning more wedges and then some full 8 and 9 irons with the foam balls. I hope to see better approach shots this coming week. sirchunksalot, GolfSpy_SHARK, Kenny B and 2 others 5 Quote Modern Bag: G410 LST 10.5*, Hzrdus Smoke RDX 6.5 Flex; 915F 3w, Diamana S+ 70 S flex; Snake Eyes 18* 2h, 23* 4h & 27* 5h; JPX 900 Forged 6 - PW, PX LZ 6.0; Edison 2.0 49*, 53*, 57* KBS Tour 120 S; Heppler Fetch; Ball - MTB-X; Bag - Jones MyGolfSpy Edition! I've told my wife several times if I could keep score on the range, I'd be shooting low 90's and not the 105-110 range I'm in once there are consequences to my actions. One of the other benefits to switching clubs for each shot is you don't groove a swing with a particular club, it forces you to really focus on the task at hand like you would when playing. cksurfdude, cjeffs12, Kenny B and 2 others

edingc
Really need to get to the short game area, but that's no where near as fun as hitting balls with the Mevo+ running. I'm enjoying the additional information about dispersion as it's helping to focus my range sessions quite a bit. Working on more rotation in the backswing and am realizing that while my flexibility is lacking, I have enough to get a full backswing. I just struggle with allowing my left side to turn in concert with my right. My bad shots and short backswings happen when I try to do everything with my right side. My left side never moves inward toward the ball and I end up swaying instead of rotating. My scores at this point are almost entirely dependent on how well I drive the ball, and fixing my rotation helps me be much more consistent off the tee, so this is something I want to get working better ASAP. But... you cool off next week!!! We don't! Check out what it's like 200 miles up the Columbia River... Most of those high temps will be all time high records. So, after a session with the PlaneMate at home in 80º temp, I headed to the course for much needed short game and putting work. I used to do this practice at least twice a week, but haven't done it since the PNW MGS Meet-up 2 weeks ago. There was activity on the pitching green as a 4-ball match was getting ready to head out on the course. So, I found a spot on the putting green and practiced my right-hand-only putts from 4 and 8 feet. Did pretty well! Then when the group left, I worked on distance control; 15-20 footers. That distance was a problem last weekend; better today. Finally, I took a small bucket of balls to the pitching green where I hit the same shots with LW from 30 yards that I did with my PW during the PlaneMate practice session. I felt like I had very good control of distance and trajectory. I will see this weekend if it carries over to the course. Tee time is 6:50am so should be able to finish before the temp gets too much above 100º. sirchunksalot, cnosil, GolfSpy_SHARK and 2 others 4 1 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Then moved to heavy driver work with planemate and then just working on face strike with combos. filmed my swing. Very OTT. Although with I face strike like above I can play with that. then putting practice for distance control. Goal just get it to within 3 ft. Success. then some pitching practice. Got real good with my 58 for 60 yards out with an open face. Nice high spinners. 54 needs some work. lastly some chipping work. Learned fast I can have an open face in thick clover by the green. russtopherb
Ok. I've been hesitant to post about this because I don't want to jinx it... but it looks like my driver is finally starting to come around. Two things go into this - 1) a range session with a single digit cap buddy a few weeks back who pointed out I wasn't fully turning in my backswing and wasn't giving myself any room to swing at the ball. Lots of inside backswing practice of turning my shoulders and feeling like my hands are as far away from my head as possible. AND 2) I put an old R1 driver back in the bag. The D7 I have just feels way too light and I feel like I don't know where the head is. This has been an issue since I got it. With the R1, I can feel the head and where it is in the swing. So today's large bucket at lunch started with wedges and irons before 15 drivers. Of those, one was a worm burner (straight tho!), 2 were fades that would have been salvageable, 3 slight pulls that also would have been playable, and the rest ended in my "fairway" on the range. After that it was back to irons and fairways, then a simulated bunch of holes. Even the bad driver shots would have been playable and not a lost ball penalty. This is now the 3rd range session where I've been feeling progress with the driver. I'll hopefully be playing at least 2-3 rounds over the coming weeks with my brother in town, so fingers crossed I can take this to the course. cnosil, Kenny B, Shapotomous and 3 others 6 Quote In my carry bag: ST-X 10.5* Kai'li Blue R Flex ST-Z 15* Kai/li Blue R Flex ST-Z 4h Linq Blue R Flex Launcher 5h Launcher CBX 6i-PW CBX 54* & 58* Huntington Beach #10 e12 Contact CURRENTLY TESTING - Mizuno Long Game

cjeffs12
The best range session I’ve had all year so far. I’ve really been working with Plane Mate, focusing on my takeaway trying to get it engrained before I move on to backswing. Yesterday I played with my buddy who I play with every week, but he rolled his ankle so we haven’t played in the last couple weeks, he really noticed a change in my ball flight and how consistent I was, I was consistently left but very consistent. I had a few bad lefts as is usual, so today I wanted to get some reps so it feels more natural because it didn’t yesterday, and focus on building my stance after I aim the club face. After the round, the two jumbo max grips arrived and I put them on, and it felt amazing. I have thread going about my jumbomax experience, so I won’t go into the grips too much here. Since the plane mate, I have a noticeable higher ball flight, and much better ball than turf contact. Today I had wind into and off the right which is disaster for me, but today I was starting it right of my target, and it would just softly fall to the left. It’s been about a year since I’ve started working on my full swing, I was a 6 now a 9, and it really felt nice to have that auto pilot feeling again. cksurfdude, bens197, Vegan_Golfer_PNW and 4 others 7 Quote STEALTH 2+ 10.5* FUJIKURA VENTUS TR BLACK 6X ZX MKII 3W 15* Project X HZRDUS Smoke Blue RDX U.S.A. 8TX Stealth+ 19 Mitsubishi Tensei Pro White 1K 85TX ZX7 4-PW KBS $Taper 130 BLACK PVD RTX 6 Zipcore 50/54.10 Full Project X 6.0 GLIDE 4.0 60.10S DYNAMIC GOLD TOUR ISSUE S400 ER2v MIDLOCK 40” TOUR X NX9 with Slope

That Divot Board is just such a great practice tool. Thanks. I reached out to Bo. Will see if I need to buy one or if he will replace it as a defect. cksurfdude, Shapotomous and sirchunksalot 3 Quote Follow my journey to enjoying golf and going low Driver: Epic Max LS Ventus Black 6x 44.5" 3wHL: Rogue ST LS 75x Tensei AV Blue w/ xlink 7w: Apex UW 21* MMT 80S DI: Caley 01X 18* with KBS PGH Stiff plus 95g 4-AW: 0211 with KBS Tour Stiff 2.5* up 3/4" long, Soft stepped, MOI matched Wedges Zipcore Putter: L.A.B. revkev
Good practice session today. Going out of town for 10 days tomorrow. Can’t take my clubs so I’m glad I’m leaving on a good note. Average driver SS was 98 which is huge for me. I alternated, driver, iron, driver iron - different irons each time for 10 shots. I was supposed to play in league this evening. One look at the radar said, “No way.” Got to the range at 130, off the putting green at 300. Out of Starbucks at 315. It was pouring before I made it home at 330. So now we’re shuffling off to Buffalo for a wedding and Pittsburgh for a ballgame.
