ParFore74x
Worked on shots around the green this evening. Trying to tighten up those wedge shots to setup shorter putts. Flat lies, uphill lies, downhill lies, over the bunker, fairway, and rough. I think that I covered everything except out of the bunker itself since the sand is more like concrete. cksurfdude, Rickp, sirchunksalot and 2 others 4 1 Quote TSi3 10° w/ Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black 65g TS2 15° 3W w/ Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 6.0 70g 818 H1 21° Hybrid w/ Mitsubishi Tensei CK Blue 70g JPX 921 HM 4-GW w/ Project X LZ 5.5 115g T22 54° SW w/ TT DG S400 MD3 60° LW White Hot RX #

gavinski91
Practiced mid-range wedge shots up to 60 yards. Lacassem
Range day today. Have not been able to swing for about a week (ok 9 days to be exact) and is the longest in a while. Work is busy this past week and knew I wasn’t going to get out. focus on the upside I got to swing. Also had some great strikes but overall was just an awful range day for me. pretty stiff overall which is as expecting and very low SS for me (driver was around 109 and 4 iron around 93) think I was just tired and stiff first 15-20 shots were great right where I wanted them and then it just went downhill being inconsistent and just not feeling good about the swing. i am just glad I got to swing but was just disappointed with a mediocre at best swinging day. If you made it this far thank you lol didn’t mean to type a review here BUTTT I am requesting any recommendations on gloves. Been using Nike (couldn’t tell you what kind) for years and I was sweating buckets today and it was slippery. There is a thread about some gloves but does anyone have quick recommendations for gloves that do well with sweat? thanks for reading! GolfSpy BOS
I got a lot of good range time in this week with the new Cobra gear.I’m very impressed with the Speedzone driver and fairway. Here’s 3 shot in a row with the 5-wood, it didn’t take long to get into a groove with this set up. and then this was my final ball of the day Thursday. I can’t wait to get out there tomorrow and give these clubs a workout on the course. They sound and feel awesome. Josh Ross
Today was all about putting. While it was sunny I walked over to the golf course to putt on the practice green for an hour or so until it started raining. Then I spent another half an hour practicing with the PuttOUT. I know the Directed Force looks wonky, but it feels like I'm cheating with it. Excited to get my first round in with it tomorrow after missing 10 birdie putts my last time out with my other putter. sirchunksalot, ParFore74x, cksurfdude and 1 other 4 Quote In my Lux XV Cart Bag: Driver: RADSPEED XB PTC 10.5° Fujikura Speeder Evolution 661 VII Stiff 3 Wood: SpeedZone Big Tour 13.5° Project X HZRDUS Smoke Yellow 70 6.0 Utility: Apex UW 19° Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 70 6.0 4 Hybrid: KING LTDx 21° KBS PGI 85 Stiff Irons: ZX5/ZX7 Project X LZ 6.0 Wedges: 2.0 49°, 53°, 57° Putter: Directed Force 2.1 34" Ball: TourX (Thanks MGS for allowing me to test these!) pulledabill
Not playing or practicing much the last 2 months and it shows. I think I shot 88 the other day which is not acceptable for me. I went into hole 5 even, and left it 4 over...Left #6 at 6 over. All aspects of the game are bad. I shouldn't complain as Im not grinding at the range or at the putting green 2-3 times a week as per my norm. Last night was my first time on the putting green in Id guess 2 months or more? Started out just basic chips with my 58 then worked down to long bump and runs with my 47. Focused on weight distribution and setup and the back of my left hand going towards target on follow through. Putting I did a mix of short and long range putts. I generally just look at the "ball" when I putt, but part way through I decided to focus on the very back of the ball with the thought of "aim small, miss small". No doubt it tightened things up a bit and the strike location on the face of the putter face got smaller. Last night was really just to get back in the groove of practicing and working from the green back on finding my game. Tonight will be wedge play down to maybe 8i at most. I need to find my groove and build some confidence in my game. cksurfdude and sirchunksalot 2 Quote DRIVER: Cobra F9 10.5 Tensei AV Blue 65g 3W- Callway XR PRO 16 stiff 5W- Alpha- Mitsubishi Diamana Redboard w/band Irons- Mizuno JPX 919 Tours with S KBS Tour shafts Hyrbid- TM 4h mid-rescue Vokey- Vokey SM5 51 degrees, SM7 Wedges 54 and 58 1/2 half 3 degrees upright Putter- Taylor Made Rossa Monza Mini Spider Ball-ProV1 and AVX
revkev
I went to the range after church yesterday - it’s so hot here right now it’s difficult to be out for long. One of our teachers was giving a lesson next to me. The guy taking lessons is just starting out, young guy, athlete and going about it the rest got way.As I was packing up his teacher asked me to hit one more drive for his student. He told the guy, watch how Rev drops it in the slot, it’s a unique swing but very efficient. He hits a 5 yard draw 225-230 i the fairway every time.I was pretty psyched that this was exactly the shot that I hit. dlow206
I think I am on the cusp of really good things. I just really need some practice with my irons to figure out what is going wrong. I don't expect my club to open up the range for open practice any time soon, so just need to finish my backyard renovation. Some days I will be hot off the tee, one time I hit 12 plus fairways with driver and still shot over 100. I think that day I chunked almost all of my iron approach shots. Can't wait to get some video swings in so i can get feedback from an instructor. Hopefully i finish this backyard renovation in the next 3 weeks. cksurfdude, Rickp and MDGolfHacker 3 Quote Follow my golf journey to break into the 80s Tester for the Titleist TSi Driver Spring 2020 MGS Tester for the Fujikura Motore X Shaft Updated 07/15/2022 Driver: Rogue St Max LS - Autoflex Fairway Woods: Rogue Max St 3HL and 7 Wood Irons: JPX 921 Hot Metal 5 to AW - Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff parallel tip Wedges: Glide 4.0 54 and 58 Putter: PLD Custom Kushin
pulledabill
Burned a medium buck with the intent of short irons only to find a grove with my new Mizuno. Afte a few balls i realized i was standing to close to the ball so adjusted. Huge diference. No chunks and contact and fligt cMe out like magic. Such a great feeling club. Jmikecpa
Have a member guest tomorrow so I went to a local course to hit some balls. Just worked on tempo and trying to feel shots instead of just mechanics. Had a first while I was there. Got to the range and threw my AirPods in like I always do and about halfway through my bucket a dude walks up and starts rummaging through my bag looking at my clubs. Decides for some reason taking out my 8 iron was a good idea. I asked nicely, not so nice and then angrily to get him to leave. Dude had the balls to go inside and tell the shop I threatened him on the range. Once I explained it to the guy from the shop he got it and told me to finish my bucket and the guy will be escorted off the property.
