edingc 8,345
A very cold two buckets this morning, clear skies and sunny but couldn't keep my hands warm at all. Temps were in the mid-to-upper teens so not ideal weather. I could at least follow ball flight today which was a nice relief. My goal today was to work on two things from my lesson Monday, getting a good turn and not throwing my upper body forward to start the downswing. I'd say about one-third of the balls I hit today were very good, and over half were definitely much improved from the past few weeks before my lesson. I'm still struggling to get a good turn, but it also took me a good 25-30 balls to get loose. I was much more successful with keeping my upper body from moving forward on the downswing. It's amazing how much better I hit my driver and hybrids when my upper body stays back. Had several drives land at or past the 252 flag, and I had a few silly Super Hybrids from the deck (including the video below). So glad I picked up that club and replaced my 3 wood. 5 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 9.5 (Last Updated March 13, 2021) Driver: Callaway Mavrik (9°), 45.75", Dumina AutoFlex SF505X | Unofficial AutoFlex Review 17° Hybrid: Callaway Super Hybrid, 41.5", Mitsubishi MMT Hybrid 80 TX 18.5° Driving Iron: Cobra KING Utility (2016 Model), 39.5", Mitsubishi MMT Utility 105 TX 21° Hybrid: Callaway Epic Flash, 40", Mitsubishi MMT Hybrid 80 TX 4-AW: Sub70 699 (4-6)/699 Pro (7-AW) Combo Set, 1° Flat, 37" 7 Iron, Mitsubishi MMT Taper 105 TX | Build Thread 54°, 58°: Cobra KING MIM Black, 1° Flat, 35.5", 35.25", Mitsubishi MMT Wedge 105 TX | #CobraConnect Review Putter: L.A.B. ncwoz 1,722
Got out to the heated bays this past Thursday, I've been doing a lot of "dry" swings in the living room trying to groove 1) A flat left wrist without losing my arms at the top of my backswing 2) Not "humping the goat" I'm pretty happy with my progress on 1, but still early extend quite a bit. I'm going to do more practice swings with my butt up against a chair to hopefully ingrain that movement pattern better. Here's an 8 iron from this week, and then a 7 iron from late August. azstu324 3,189
I decided that my wife's yoga mat would do me more good than her.. split in half and taped end to end makes a perfect 10' runway. Rolls true at about a 10. Added marks at 10', 5', and 3'. 3-5 footers have been the my nemesis. One of my goals for 2021 is to make my weakness (putting) my strength. After spending a week with this setup, the Puttout, a new toe-heavy blade putter, and a putt stroke overhaul, my round on Saturday I already noticed my putting had had improved night and day. Feel like I still have some work to do but everything already feels so much more comfortable. Lacassem 10,154
Went to the sim today to test out these bad boys head to head: I will be doing a little review at some point as I use the RDX but I don't think there is even a question at this point. I had 40 swings on both shafts (sets of 5) today and if the numbers didn't speak for themselves the feel did. This was my averages over the sets and today was not a very fast Swing Speed day whatsoever and the hulk felt like a 3 inch dowel while the RDX was extremely smooth, with substantially less spin. Will cover in a review down the road but I never get below 3k spin and I did a few times today. Also figured out what setting I should be on with the titleist adapter and that is A2. my club face was varying between 1 degree open to 1 degree closed on average which I was very happy with. Was also very happy with my path today which as usual was out to in but was much closer to a straight path consistently. I don't typically see close to a straight path consistently 4 Quote Check out my reviews G710 Irons Lacassem official review WITB: FlexTech is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by : RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green 2019 P790 4-PW - Project X 6.5 LZ 48 SM8 - Nippon Modus 125 S 52, 56, 60 SM7 - Nippon Modus 125 S O-Works 1W PROV1X #19 Bushnell Tour V3 Jolt On The Bench: 2H VST - Super Idea S Matrix Kujoh S-Flex Thank you to all those that have served/are serving and God Bless America

I’ll have to use some door spray but felt like today anyway I was getting a lot of square strikes on the face, on top of not feeling the need to swing as hard (6 mph difference on the average there). I’m going to be interested to see what my dispersion is over this upcoming year. I have not swung in about 2 weeks and always feels a little awkward at first which it did with the hulk but just felt so smooth right away with the RDX. The RDX sees like a better shaft, but would be interesting to see ball speed and distances with a lower spinning setup. Do you know AoA? TR1PTIK 2,876
After a poor showing with the putter on Tuesday I decided to investigate what was going on. Sometimes the answers to our problems are so stupid and simple. After 3 years of gaming a 33" putter, I clearly have some "muscle memory" in regard to setup and was too close to the ball. Found that taking a little bend out of my knees and standing a touch more upright was all I needed to fix my issue of constant heel strikes and a wayward path. Ready to get out again and see the results on the course! 2 Quote Driver: Mizuno ST190 9.5* Aldila RIP Alpha 60 S Fairway Wood: Mizuno ST190 15* Fujikura Atmos Blue 6S Hyrbrid: Mizuno CLK 19* Fujikura Speeder EVO HB Irons: Bridgestone J40 CB (4-PW) Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 Wedges: Bridgestone Tour B XW-1 50*, 54*, & 58* Nippon Modus 3 105 Putter: Cleveland Huntington Beach SOFT Premier 4 34" Ball: Snell MTB-X Bag: 2017 Titleist Players 5 Stand Bag
