ChuckZ
Still sticking with my exercises during the week, going for refresher lessons on Tuesdays and visiting my Physical Therapy on Thursdays. Hit a few balls on Tuesdays. Will probably start going to the range once or twice a week as we start to finish the clinic and my Physical Therapist releases me to start playing. tommyb1683
Today I picked up my driver and hybrid from being regripped from standard to midsize. All my other clubs are already midsize grips. I went to the range and worked on getting a feel for both of them with the new grips. I also worked on my draw and cut shots with my irons. The season is just about to start here in New York plus I am heading to GA this Wednesday for a golf trip with a few buddies. Fjd
I enjoy practicing on the golf crse in the late afternoon/early evening when I can hit multiple balls without interfering with anyone playing. I may hit a couple of drives and will always work on my short (scoring) game and try to get up and down from various lies. i practice fairway bunker shots, green side bunkers, 30-60 yd pitch shots, pitching over bunkers to a short sided pin, etc. a whole lot of fun with no one else on the crse near me. Try, you will like it. IndyBonzo, JerryB, sirchunksalot and 5 others 7

cksurfdude
Played a practice 9 - we still have temporary greens .. the fairways are still pretty scruffy and there are plenty of extra loose impediments in the rough .. but hey it's golf! Was trying to focus on getting the ball into play off the tee .. while taking a full swing .. but was only maybe 50-50... As @cnosil mentioned you can adjust *either* your stroke length _or_ your stroke effort (force) .. but really shouldn't change both at once .. to help control distance while trying to keep the same overall stroke tempo. There's no shortage of putting training aids, of course, but as an fyi one I picked up recently had been really helpful to me... It's from See More Putters; you can find on their site if interested. richk9holes
Non golf related day, couch potato'ing. I was exhausted from playing or practicing 10-11 days in a row. I did give my clubs a firm brushing, then lined them up for a stern talking to. I informed them furthers scores in the 90s won't be tolerated and infractions may result in up to 2 weeks in the dark garage. I also set the groundwork for good relations with the 24° UT coming tomorrow. I don't want the 6i to feel inadequate and the driver is nervously looking over its metaphorical shoulder already. I get more used to it the more I play it, but after about a dozen rounds I still slip back into the motions of swinging a much lighter putter head. The weight definitely takes time to get used to, it's very heavy compared to anything I've used. Also changed the stock pistol grip to a 2.0 Superstroke which I only have 6 rounds with, so definitely still in the "getting to know you" phase. I am lagging long putts better than before with my Odyssey blade, but don't yet have a feel for inside 10'. I do feel mighty confident standing over a 40' uphill putt now, which is good but ideally I'm trying to avoid them in the first place. CSiders12
Good evening all! Today, I was able to practice my own game a bit while helping high school golfers as well. I decided to be a volunteer high school coach at my school which has opened up some cool opportunities. A majority of the courses near us haven't opened yet, so lately, for practice, we have been working on shots from 150 yards in a nearby field by the high school. Although it was great practice for my own game, I was happier to help the younger players. Watching young players invest in the game is an awesome thing. Seeing the joy on young players' faces when the light bulb finally clicks is a great feeling. Coaching is a great way to work on my own game and help others. Hoping for a great season! richk9holes, sirchunksalot, 202 and 5 others 6 2 Quote Cory Hole in Ones: Coming Soon WITB: Callaway Rogue ST MAX LS, SIM 2 3 Hybrid, Mizuno JPX 921 Tour 4-P, Cobra Snakebite 50, 54, 60, Mizuno M.Craft Type 03 Putter.
