A skill game from The Price is Right game show on TV. It was like shuffleboard if you introduce gravity and complete random chance. Players dropped a disc shaped game piece down a series of pegs on a wall. It would bounce all random ways down to the bottom where (mostly low value) prizes awaited.

try the KBS shaft, it’s a no upgrade option with Tour Edge E series irons.

I was going with the Tensei AV until my buddy told me how highly his fitter recommended KBS and how happy he was he listened. They’re both very good shafts, but I’m so happy he told me to try them.

From what you post here, and the conversations we’ve had,  I think we’re very close in profile both tempo and distance wise. You’ve taken a lot of time to find a head that’s right for you, why leave a stone unturned when you don’t have to?.

Got to run to the range today and hit a large bucket. Went back to a couple drills I’d done in the past working on more rotation. Worked great, no back pain which is awesome!!!

Got some time in on the trackman a got some numbers on all the clubs. Man I wish I had this same access 10 to 12 years ago when I was in the industry and played enough to still be good at this game, haha. I knew the numbers were good from the fit on the new driver " Srixon ZX7 MK2" but didn't get a report and glad to see good numbers continue. Never seen this close to optimized and that in includes one of my patented low heal mishits! haha

Made it to the range yesterday. Overall, my swing was feeling pretty from the last time I was out, where I was dealing what felt like a 10-15 mph crosswind and couldn’t make heads or tail of what I as doing. I also spent some time with my 58°, since I realize that I had little confidence when there’s a bunker between my ball and the green.

Had one of my better sessions. Got a large bucket. First 20 or so shots wedges, half with planemate to get feels and warm up. The next 50 or so balls were shift drills with focus on lead heel down in downswing, back to target, arms coming down. Did this all very slowly. Then after played a simulated nine with a 70_80% swing feeling smooth. Then finished with some wedges again. Was some of the best striking I’ve had all year. 
 

Then to the putting green where I did lag putting heads up really well. Loving the LAB now. Then ended some chipping which has come on really strong. Lots of balls left 3ft or less

Ok... Last year they offered both Ventus Blue (A,R,S) and KBS TGI Tour graphite (L,A,R,S) .. the latter still has some availability on their pre-owned shop; this year that KBS (graphite) shaft is only in L....

Still wanna do an official fitting before I commit to anything (you know trying to pretend to do the responsible adult thing and all...)

You said it was a skill game  just one more device that secured my complete avoidance of games of chance and gambling in particular.

I have progressives as well. It takes me a while to figure how to tilt my head the right way in order to gain the best sharpness view. I'm usually good at address and I don't worry about impact and shortly after as I seem to find the ball OK in flight when it hits about 25 feet or so, good and clear and I usually can watch it until it lands. That's one of the reasons I'm in demand to play golf with...I can spot mine and the others balls as well.  Had a good indoor session today in the barn. Was able to cover all 10 shots with a silver dollar.

Poor weather here this weekend with mostly rain, so went to the simulator to practice and play a "round" with a friend of mine.  Worked on tempo/arms/turn getting into synch.  I have been pulling my irons more left even on chips so trying to work that out.  Was happy with the driver as usually have a fade but working on the backswing slowly and then putting it to work in the simulator I was almost 60% FIR so that was reasonable.  Finished it off with target practice of various ranges.

Tried to get in 18 yesterday, but the course was playing slow and I had an afternoon appointment.  I managed to get in 13.  I have been working on "swinging better" instead of "swinging harder" and the results have been promising so far.  My shot shape has gone from a weak fade to a draw... which has allowed me to club down about a 1/2 club.  still double crossing myself on occasion, and the snapper is more in play now... but I was striking the ball well yesterday and putting well too.  4 birdies in 13 holes.  That snapper I mentioned... resulted in a double, but all in... even par for the short round.

I'm not sure if it is the time of year (firm fairways and prevailing wind) that has helped me gain some distance off the tee... or if it is purely the shot shape... some of both I would assume... but just in the last few weeks I have gone from hitting 6-7-8 irons into holes to hitting gap-pw-9 into greens.  

Really just one swing though change... left knee over left foot on back swing.  I don't want to jinx it.. but there it is.

Happy Sunday Spies!

Played a fast, solo back 9 at River Glen in Fishers, IN (north of Indy) to break in the new clubs and try to learn distances and such.  The irons feel nice and soft.  Not hitting them long yet as I am getting used to the lighter shafts.   Wondering if the baby draw will stick around when the weather is warmer and I feel looser.  The course was pretty empty so I was able to hit two balls on several holes.  Gorgeous cool morning, and good practice.  No doubles!  

Off to the range this afternoon.

I was FINALLY able to go to the range today! Today is one of the first nice days that we have gotten all year here in eastern Iowa and I finally could go to the range. It felt SO good to see the ball fly and come off of the club face. I hit it pretty well, better than expected for a first range session. I'm looking forward to nicer days so I can go out and start working on specific parts of my game. I am currently working on hitting the ball higher and releasing the club. Hoping I can work more and get to scratch soon!

Nothing wild but the weather has been so great I have been able to get dry swings in outside and it feels amazing. Pretty much focusing on takeaway and paying attention to path and face control. Very happy with where my swing is at currently.

Going to do some foam ball chipping inside here in a little bit.

So practiced in the nets today mainly for the Ts3 driver, I’ve finally tried the 3 Bassara L flex shafts and decided the 3rd one was the best feel, but maybe that’s because I was warmed up by then so will try that one first tomorrow? The plan is to practice Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday which matches the 4day tournament I’m playing 1st may, hopefully that will help me win lol  

I started heel toe bottom then finally finished in the middle-ish… hope it’s improving in the next couple of weeks, fingers crossed…

Over the past month, I’ve been working on transferring the mindset I have on the driving range to the golf course. From wedges up to my 7-iron, once I’m warmed up, I know I can be pretty good at landing the ball where I want consistently (as in, within the green) on the range. The course has been a different matter. Apart from the grass/mat difference, I need to keep my confidence level up. 

I’ve never been overly confident that I can make par or birdie a hole. Maybe I need to try and do just that.
