Vision Golf Ball?

Recommended Posts

Afternoon All,

Just saw an add for Visions golf balls as an add in this forum and was curious if anyone has tried them out? They don't seem to have a regular store in Canada but also seem to be willing to send some up. Just wondering if anyone else has given them a try before I bite the bullet.

My fascination with yellow golf balls rages on...

Hi AW, Thanks for asking about the balls. I have sent through an email

and we are still test marketing products in different markets around

the world to see how we might take on the major brands with our HiViz

performance designs.

There will be some product made available through this forum for testing

in the near future as player feedback through my Test Pilot Project

with forums like this in Australia has been very helpful so far.

The UV Yellow balls that I will be trialling are covered with a special blend

of our Flexigel cover material that includes our unique,

US Patented - StayBright UV Technology.

very cool... after playing the Srixon, I'm not surprised more companies are trying to put colored balls on the market... I got a few jabs from the guys in my league when I pulled out the yellow balls, but they were surprised at how they performed...

I'm looking forward to seeing what you have to offer...

Those look super bright! I really liked the Srixon yellow balls, will consider buying them next time I have to make a purchase (hopefully not soon!) so I'm definitely not opposed to a bright color. Would love a chance to demo these Vision balls, come on MGS, load up the hot dog gun and fire off some sleeves to the masses! :D

Very cool. How is the price point compared to the yellow z-stars?

Hi Sac, Good question, I see the Zstar's TY have a street price of approx $39.95.

The two current levels I am looking at will be as follows,

The Gel V's - which is my Game Improvement HX Hot / NXT almost NXT Tour like designs

approx US$22.95/US $24.95

The Gel X's - which are aimed at the RX330 / NXT Tour / Trispeed

approx US$27.95/US$29.95

I am working on my Tour Vision project at the moment with testing of both 3 and 4 piece structures

using a new type of FlexiGel TPU Urethane for the cover, costing still to be worked out but less

than the Zstar's.

My approach to ball design is aimed at assisting all the players that could do with some Game Improvement

in their ball selection to help them hit more Fairways & Greens in regulation with drop and controlled

release spin levels around the green,

The first question I think most players should ask themselves nowadays is,

"Do you want Tour validation of your equipment or would you prefer

to play designs that help you improve your overall game?"

I believe there is another way forward for the golf industry.

Cheers,

Boz.

Hi Hen, I get asked this alot, the transparent nature of the outer cover doesn't

really allow for the normal amount of shadow to effect the way we see the depth

of the dimples and as such any marks you make on the ball when in play are also

hard to see.

The Flexigel cover material is also able to be cleaned up/shear marks smoothed

with some cream clenser like Jif/Ajax and a light scouring pad to semi restore

the finish after a round.

Here is one of my newer designs the Pinky which I have just released that

shows the effect a bit better.

Cheers, Boz.

PS just in case you ask about the WB,they are my Fathers (and mine)initials which

I place on any of my designs just so people know for sure that they came from the

Bosley family. Also its in recognition of my Fathers great influence and support

of my dream to have a go on my own and see if a fresh/new/practical style of ball

design can find a place in our game.

well one thing is positive in this i am glad they are not blue!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But seriously this is a great idea ive tried a few yellow balls on the course, the two clubs im a member at though uses yellow golf balls on the range so its not really that much of a change mentally, on the course it can be very beneficial to,

i wonder what if people that wear sunglasses all the time might benefit from this more than anyone. ?????????????????

Hi Andrew, From my testing it will depend on the lense type but generally the

Bright Yellow is a lot more effective and with more players being suggested to

wear glasses to protect their eyes this will be helpful.

Seeing you asked about Blue,,,,,,, I have an idea for players to use a colour

to help differentiate their ball in play from their playing partners. I know the

better players are not interested in these sort of concepts but there are plenty

of other players that see the merit in this idea.

Do you take visa for your test pilot program, or can I just buy a box of balls... Or I should prob just wait for some tester to get thrown my way but I am very interested as more rain falls and the grass gets a little thicker and more green and swallows the whities lol...

Hi Brandon,I haven't set my site up at the moment to work like

a shop as I want to talk to any players that come by first.

That being the case I am doing Paypal and Visa/MC.

I have just sent an International TP pack ( 2 dozen plus some other

gear) to Adam that started the thread for AUD $85. If you like

lets see if that works out ok and then just let me know.

Cheers,

Boz.

Boz, I can't belive my eyes, as you post more and more colors, and you are aiming for an improvement ball, which is right up my alley. I have been ball fitted for the Tri-Speed, and I can't wait to test or just buy a dozen. Thank you very much for brining this here for us, as this maybe the most exciting equipment innovation (the colors) that I have seen this year!

Yup, 2 dozen balls winging my way. Once I've got them I'm going to take them a variety of places to dial them in/give them a really good review compared with some Z Stars/NXT's. Stay tuned!

Hi Ad, I hope to have them there by Friday? Lets see how good TNT are. ;)

Hey Long, The deal I am doing includes the shipping as it is more of a trial for the

guys onboard here at what I think is a practical cost. I will PM as soon I am happy

with Ad's delivery if thats ok and that the pack shows itself to be good value.

Hi Chappy, appreciate the kind plug. :D

JB, I have another one for you and I believe you will fit right in with the

way I have some of the the balls set-up and the additional balls I am currently

working on.

Even a stock white ball can be made to look quite advanced with a fresh hi-tech style. B)
