Vision Golf Ball?

Recommended Posts

I have been part of Boz's programme in the land down under for the past 18 months. Let me tell you a little bit about the man of coloured balls. He knows his stuff. If you want to find out more there is a radio interview on the Vision website that explains a fair bit of The Boz's history. Service you won't find a better person to deal with. Balls , well I am very happy with what I have been using and been privileged to been part of a team that has provided feedback on trial balls.

There are a few golf forums in Australia where The Boz has been a long time contributor and you can gain more knowledge of the evolution of Vision Balls.

One little hint from the land down under, maybe two. When putting you may well notice a difference in the amount of borrow that you need to take. Secondly, this one you will work out quickly is that the balls will stop well on the green however their release is different from other balls. So dependent upon how you strike the ball the results will different.

Enjoy the golf balls when you get them, they are different and you will get some comments about them. Personally it is the score that you right down on the card at the end of the day that counts and if the ball that you are using allows you to improve your game all the better. ;)

Afternoon Gents,

So the balls and extra goodies arrived at my office this morning (4 days to ship from Oz to Canada. That's amazing!). Since then I've had to fend off half the office from stealing my "ridiculous" balls which is highly amusing. I also have to say Pegasus is spot on. Boz know's his stuff and frankly I wish I could send my whole sales department to him for customer relations.

I'm going to try and head out to the practice green tonight to get some putting/chipping practice in and start the review. I've got 4 seperate balls from Boz to test along with various other balls to begin the review. I'm looking to hit a Par 3 on Sunday and a full 18 next Friday. Updates following each session

A box arrived at the offices the other day from Vision Golf Balls. Most likely this stuff will be finding its way into many of your bags over the coming weeks. Packaging is great and they definitely know how to handle customer service that is for sure.

You would be surprised at the lack of thought that typically goes into to the equipment we get sent from companies in regards to a professional appearance. This might not sound like that big of a deal to you but it is typically a great sign of how a companies customer service department performs.

And from the sign of every encounter we have had with Vision Golf they are top notch in our books.

Hope you enjoy the pics and we will be having more info about the gear soon.

I'm loving the teal/mesh hat, and I love how the balls have the numbers like pool balls, very original. As a matter of fact, I am going to pull out my last 2 Srixon Yellow balls for league night on Tuesday... The more I read this thread, the more I can't wait to get out and blast a yellow ball...

Thanks Guys, as you can see I have a good story going for me

after spending enough time understanding what I neede to do

to make a fresh impact on the business.

Looking at the States I will be handling things directly from Oz

for a while as SMT/Mike has understood its time for me to do my

own thing in the US, as I want to keep building my relationships

with players as a priority whilst I take my time to find the

right retail partners.

Cheers, Boz.

Quite a care package there for sure. I want to give the yellow balls a shot for sure at some point. I am interested to see how the durability compares to the yellow zstar. My new scratch wedges seem to be chewing a bit on full wedge shots.

Could also just be my massive swing speed. ;)

Hi Sac, the shearing you talk about is a real issue for ball

companies as it is hard to stop a razor type slice off the

dimples top edges.

This has been a problem since Ping first introduced U grooves in

the 80's, and its interesting a harder cover can shear just as much

as a soft cover.

The newer the grooves the worse it can be but the new groove rules

do offer a slight reduction in this effect plus we are looking at

a new type of cover material that should be both soft and stronger

than normal RIM urethane covers.

Cheers, Boz.

Hi Sac, you're welcome.

Hey Ty, thanks for that. The challenge has been huge over the past few years but

things are starting to fall into place.

The main thing is we are finding more players will accept and appreciate the positive

effect my newer style and improved visibility performance has on their game without us

having to go back towards a more standard ball type to get things moving.

When you look at the current market there are probably too many ball types that are

similar in style and colour (painted white) to bother trying to break in but even a

white ball can be made in a different way to make it both brighter and easier to see.

Cheers, Boz.

I got a couple of those, not sure why they're called Russel, but said Russel is going to get a good smacking around the practice green today along with a bunch of other stuff.

Hey Pom, welcome to the US TP thread, glad to see Russell has

been introduced.

Hi Ad, Russell is my Test Pilot Project mascot and usually turns

up in most trial packs. I asked the Australian TP's to name my

smiley logo and Russell won the day with Lucy ( aka Lucille the

ball ) for the girls packs.

Cheers,Boz.
