Golf bag cabinet

Recommended Posts

So I'm a carpenter and I was thinking of building a cabinet for my golf clubs that has a few shelves for shoes and golf balls and golf club supplies. Any one done thisImageUploadedByMyGolfSpy1473909785.074643.jpgImageUploadedByMyGolfSpy1473909794.251053.jpg

No not yet, there are dimensions online for many different designs and different set of clubs. I would just be doing it for one set. I will work on plans over the next few days

I am not that talented in the carpentry department-- LOl for me it would take a lot of lumber and time since I have at least 10 complete sets of clubs bags and all-- I have and collect a lot of vintage stuff-- Over on WRX I am what they call a club ho. From what I have gathered here over the years I take it that I am the resident club ho on MGS

Yes that's me, too.....

But on your project....

Suggestion:

Maybe make the tops of the bag holders a bit wider in case you change to a larger bag in the future, and maybe add an extra strip on the bottom where the bags sit to force them to lean back?

I already have a rack I got for Christmas last year. It's a metal thing my daughter gave me. Works good for me. I like the hand made stand like pictured above much better and I'd considered building one in the past but never got around to it. Good luck with yours Mizuno.

I don't even think I would get a staff bag, just too big and I like to walk. And the pictures from above are just random ones from Google. I believe it could have been Pinterest. Ide rather a made one then a prebuilt metal one

I have one of those metal doodads, too; arms that hold the top of the bag seem to only accommodate stand bags but with a little effort I could bend it out a bit for a cart bag.

So I guess what I'm saying is not only does custom built look better but it will "fit" ;) better, too!

Unfortunately I don't do that:( there are lots of different sites for different house ideas. Houzz is amazing for that! I use it a lot

Thanks. I figured that. It was mainly meant as a compliment, since I know it would be cost prohibitive to build something and ship.

Hope it's not to late. I had a thought. The pic you showed is for two sets and you are doing it for one. You could build one like that one and on one side put a bar across and use it for weather gear or clothing in general. I was thinking rain jacket, windbreaker, etc.
