"Father, I'm telling EVERYBODY!"

 

Big week this week -- my day job has an annual golf trip for its large OEM customers. I've been "first alternate" for 5 years now (along with 25 other "first alternates"), but this year it finally happened!!

 

This Saturday at 9:20 AM Pacific Time, yours truly will be teeing it up at......

Never been, and can't wait to walk on that hallowed ground!

 

The group is playing Spyglass on  Friday, but there are no openings that day, so I'll get to play Pasatiempo.  Checked online and the greens fees were half price so I jumped on it only to find that they're aerating the greens on Thursday.  No matter, it's still Pasatiempo...

Tough decision -- but it'll be the Wilson Staff FG Tour V6 irons 4-GW, Cleveland RTX-3 wedges 56/60*, Srixon H65 #3 hybrid, PING G Stretch 3 wood, Srixon Z565 driver, Edel Willamette putter.  

 

It was touch and go there for a while -- haven't packed yet though, so standby for last minute panic moves....

Played the Detroit Golf Club today - a great old Donald Ross private club.  I may need the SLDR C -- I can't hit the driver anymore...swing has gone completely corkscrew haywire.  :unsure:  :unsure:  :unsure:

I have found that when faced with a trip to play golf, my swing goes all screwy before I go.  Not sure why, but it happens to me a lot.  I have certain expectations that I don't want to disappoint.  Once there, I'm fine.  

 

Hope you have great time and send us updates with pics like you did in Vegas last year.
