Are you a club ho?

No pun intended, just curious Are you a club hoarder? Can't seems to get rid of your collection of clubs you've hoarded throughout your playing years, why not? How many clubs or sets do you have?

As for for me, I have one full set. If I see something new or old and I find it works better than my current clubs, I get rid of it....plus I don't have space in my house to store excess clubs.

Made a rack to keep them and space to add more.

The garage may hold enough gear to equip the next Ryder Cup team...

I guess you can say that with putters, I have a few laying around, same with my driver I have 2 M1's/ a few 3 woods and a few hybrids but only 1 set of irons. I tend to sell off what I know I'm not going to use.

Wedges are my weakness I have 1 golf bag full in the spare bedroom & 3 bags full in the garage. Every now and then I will trade one in. Some still have the plastic on them.

Right now, I have 2 complete sets, Driver to putter, + another set of irons and about 4-8 additional "utility" clubs laying about the garage...  Extra 2 irons, 5 irons, wedges ect...  Lets not talk about the putters tho....

This qualifies me as a "Club Dipshit"

I used to be, but not any more. I stopped chasing numbers on a launch monitor and am bagging a set that allows me to enjoy my time on the course.

I would say I am a club aficionado, but my wife would say I am a hoarder. Three full sets in the club room, ample back ups in other bags and triple digits in putters. I rarely if ever sell anything club related.

To be honest, I think that every serious golfer is a club ho at heart! I've still got my old Cleveland CG16 sand and lob wedges in a bag somewhere in my garage.

The truth of the matter is that how you play today may change to how you play in a few years time, so you'll naturally want to change clubs to compensate for this. For me, I'm not hitting my driver as well as I would've about a year ago (dunno if it's a lack of lessons, or something else), and I'm tempted to go for a newer model as my current driver is almost 4 years old.

Driver (main): Cobra F9 Speedback (9.0) with Fujikura Atmos 7X (Avalanche White)

Driver (back-up): Titliest 915 D3 (9.5) with Fujikura Speeder Shaft 757 (Tour Stiff)

3 Wood: Callaway Epic Sub-Zero (15 degrees) in Rogue Max 75g stiff shaft

Hybrid: Callaway Apex 20 degree with Kurokage 80g Stiff Shaft

Irons: PING i200 4-PW in XP 95 shafts with S300 flex (+ 3 iron)

Wedges: Titleist Vokey SM6 - 50

              Callaway MD4 - 56 & 60 degrees

Putter: Taylormade TP Collection Soto

Golf Ball: Titliest Pro V1X, Srixon Z-Star ZV & Taylormade TP5X

My wife would say that I'm a hoarder, but I look at my clubs as memories of my golf progress.  I'd probably be better off with a photo album!  As for my wife, she only has her current set (which by the way has an Arnold Palmer Trouble Wood in it that was from my hoard), and she also has her first set of clubs (PowerBilt persimmons and blades from the 1960's).

I'm a hoarder I guess. I have two full sets and a junior set and my Grandmothers old set. So I guess that is 4 plus the spare clubs hanging around. Pretty sure my wife wants to send me to rehab. So I just go to the golf course and tell her it is my therapy!

At least we know who to call for a spare set to play with if we're in your area

For my bag the putter, driver and hybrid search has finally ended- but iron set slot still accepting applications. I need to go get fit again currently having yardage consistency issues with my irons.

Nice!  I'm playing MacGregor irons 5-8; Tourney VIP 1025M that I reshafted with UST ProForce.  Love them.
