AH1980MN
The 4-layer IS the original, and yes, they are every bit as good as they are rumored to be. golfish!
My friend who plays Callaway Chromesofts says the 4 layers dont feel as soft as the Callaways in his opinion. I don't think I would be able to tell the difference at my current skill level. I played the 3 layer last week and bounced one off a cart path which scuffed the ball pretty bad but other than that no complaints. I have 4 dozen, but my game is so bad right now, I'm using my “cheap†ballsI love the 4 piece. I stocked up and currently have 12 dozen in my stash. It does everything I want it to do. It does have a little bit more firmness to it compared to a few other balls, but when you compare how it performs to the price point, there's nothing close. That being said, the 4 piece is pretty much dead in terms of sales. There may be a few more here and there, but the supply was limited and will disappear. The new 3 piece is junk in my opinion. Plenty of other balls out there that compare with it at the same or better price range. Jim418
After buying some late in the fall, I finally put the Kirkland 4-piece in play May 1 and have enjoyed playing it. Started the season using it with Birdie-Birdie. Last weekend got my first hole-in-one with it in 41 years! Anyone that has tried one out for me doesn't see much/any difference from the Pro V1. If you're not a glamour golfer who only cares about the brand name, there's really nothing better. Even if cost was not a concern, I'd still probably play these. So far have compared to Vice Pro, OnCore Elixr, Pro V1 & Chrome Soft and these are at the top of the heap for sure. FYI, I encouraged my dad to buy the 3 piece and he loves them!.. Not quite as nice but still a really good 2nd option when the 4 piece has gone into extinction. cnosil
There have been lots of discussion on the various Kirkland products; searching for kirkland in the search tool will give you some results. MGS is probably the reason they market took off for them. Kenny B
I am still playing the original KSig 4-piece ball as I have 4 dozen left. I also have a dozen of the newer Kirkland 3-piece ball. Those are not anywhere near the same quality or performance of the original Ksig ball. The original was made in Korea, and the new one that is on the Costco website is made in China. While the original was good, it was really the price that caused all the stir. PV1 performance for $15/dozen. Now that they are mostly gone, players looking for a deal go to Snell or Cut Golf for PV1 performance for about half the price. silver & black, cnosil and MattF 3 Quote “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

Sen
I have played the 1st and 2nd edition before, they are both fine. Just played the new ball this morning, I didn't think I'd ever see the seam rip like the other ones on MGS since my driver swing isn't that fast (97mph), and I didn't even take any wedge shots. Literally a drive, a 7 iron and when I picked it up on the green this showed up. JohnSmalls, fixyurdivot, Jim418 and 2 others 3

Sen
I'm taking it back, good thing about costco they will give me my refund no questions asked. Not sure if they will care enough to do a recall but there are at least 2 ef ups here, 1 is the chemical for the cover and the bonding, 2 is the quality control. Wonder who dropped the ball here.
