THE ONE AND ONLY KIRKLAND SIGNATURE BALL THREAD

I posted this to you in the Paul a valuation for him but I couldn’t find a evaluation on the Kirkland ball. I hear many things about it but I’m not sure if it is all true.

Has it been tested on this site before?

What do you guys think? Anybody tried them?

There have been lots of discussion on the various Kirkland products; searching for kirkland in the search tool will give you some results.  MGS is probably the reason they market took off for them.  You can find information on the original and the updated versions on the blog:

I am still playing the original KSig 4-piece ball as I have 4 dozen left.  I also have a dozen of the newer Kirkland 3-piece ball.  Those are not anywhere near the same quality or performance of the original Ksig ball.  The original was made in Korea, and the new one that is on the Costco website is made in China.

While the original was good, it was really the price that caused all the stir.  PV1 performance for $15/dozen.  Now that they are mostly gone, players looking for a deal go to Snell or Cut Golf for PV1 performance for about half the price.

We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”

I've had good success with these balls. Nice spins and decent distance.

I have played the 1st and 2nd edition before, they are both fine. Just played the new ball this morning, I didn't think I'd ever see the seam rip like the other ones on MGS since my driver swing isn't that fast (97mph), and I didn't even take any wedge shots. Literally a drive, a 7 iron and when I picked it up on the green this showed up.

Sounds like a recall is in the works.  I haven't seen a cut ball in a very long time.

I'm taking it back, good thing about costco they will give me my refund no questions asked. Not sure if they will care enough to do a recall but there are at least 2 ef ups here, 1 is the chemical for the cover and the bonding, 2 is the quality control. Wonder who dropped the ball here.

You mean a recall SHOULD be in the works, or actually is?

Our records show that you recently purchased the Kirkland Signature 4-piece Golf Balls (Item #1250052). Feedback we received since the item went on sale shows that some of the balls do not meet the high standards that are expected for the Kirkland Signature brand. Therefore, Costco is refunding your credit card for your purchase and the shipping costs (two separate credits). There is no need to return the item.

As with any Kirkland Signature item, if ever you are not completely satisfied with the product, your money will be refunded.

Please accept our apologies, and thank you for your continued support.

I found a few of the Tour Performance in like new condition in our range ball bucket.  I can't believe someone would have thrown them in the ball bin.  I guess they thought of them as some cheap wal-mart ball. Anyways I put them into play and man was I impressed! Great distance and smooth as a ice cream Sunday around the greens. I hope to find a place online to order some more of these puppies.
