Severtheties
https://www.fastcompany.com/3064102/tiger-woods-entrepreneur-inside-the-superstars-new-startup-tgr There's some exciting news on the Tiger Woods front that doesn't involve his golf game luckily. Apparently Woods has launched an organization that will house all of his current ventures as well as any future ventures he would have. While this isn't necessarily groundbreaking as of now, it leads me to continue to wonder if this is a way to position and house the purchase of TM. I know there has already been a lot of talk about this on the forums already. The article mentions that the development of equipment with Nike's exit is certainly on the table. I think it also solidifies that Tiger is really starting to think beyond competitive golf. I think he wants to come back and play, obviously, but he hasn't sold himself that it would be a long come back. Anyone else have thoughts on this move? hckymeyer
The timing makes sense with the potential TMaG purchase. the Secret Tour Pro recently said he had heard the group with Tiger was purchasing TMaG and the deal either done or almost done. He's been very accurate with previous rumors. This would fall in line to support that rumor Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app Driver: SLDR w/ Fujikura Ventus Black 3w: '16 M2 hl w/ Diamana D+ 82 5w: Launcher HB w/ HZRDUS Yellow Hybrid: 22 deg. SPY VIP GolfSpyC Posted October 18, 2016 SPY VIP Share Posted October 18, 2016 Like you said, not at all surprising and makes a lot of sense moving forward. Will be interesting to see what ventures TW sets up which directly impact either the hard or soft goods markets.

Kor.A.Door
I wonder if him saying he was playing at Safeway, and then having a last minute withdrawal was just a marketing ploy to get his name in the media again, and get people talking. About his relevance to the game again, just so he could all of a sudden a few days after his withdrawal make this big announcement of his new company. Severtheties
I see where your going with that Kor but I think that his announcement would have drawn the same amount of attention with our without the withdrawal. Honestly, the reaction was quite slow, both inside and outside, of the golf industry from what I could tell. MANY golf publications and such didn't have anything on it until the next day. AH1980MN
No way! I had one of those TCR tracks! Thanks for the memories, PMookie. On the subject of this thread, though, I really want to see what Tiger would do with an equipment company. It could be a disaster, but it could be the biggest thing to come down the pike in a long time. I'm sure it will generate a lot of interest in the game, IF it happens...
