SuperDave
Read an article that says Rory is trying out and liking TaylorMade M2 driver and 3 wood. He said he was hitting them good. Sent from my SM-G920V using MyGolfSpy mobile app
SuperDave
He also said the tough choice will be the ball change. However, he has stocked up enough Nike balls to last 2 or 3 years. jayjay0808
I think Rory shot a 71 yesterday. I watched some of it and he was crushing it off the tee and hit about 65% of the fairways. He also hit nearly 80% of the greens in regulation. Again it was his putting that wasn't amazing. Averaged nearly 2 putts per hole. I guess that's sorta good lol I love the M2 fairway - I was hitting the 3HL (what Jason Day and Dustin both use) about 280yd. The driver tends to launch too much for me to use it effectively. Kenny B
He won 2 majors, dominated a Ryder cup and won the FedEx playoffs with Nike clubs so I'd say yes Some might say that he could have won more. I'm not saying it, but it took him nearly a year to get used to the Nike clubs, and those two majors came back in 2014. Undershooter
I'm with Theo here. It's easy to blame his poor play that year on the clubs. But we've already seen he player poorly when his personal life was under the spotlight. I still think these guys can win with stuff from just about any manufacturer. But he did lead the tour in total driving the last month or 2 of the season. His driver swing is just really locked in right now.
