TESTERS ANNOUNCED - EVNRoll Putters

Does EVNRoll Live Up To the Hype?

Here's your chance to find out.

A couple of months ago we put Guerin Rife's EVNRoll putters to the test. Much to our surprise, all 4 of the EVNRoll models we tested outperformed our 2016 Most Wanted Winners in both the blade and mallet categories. That's right; the EVNRoll bested the legendary PING Ketsch and the Odyssey White Hot RX #1

EVNRoll Technology

evnroll-test-4.png

The explanation for EVNRoll's performance can be found in it's unique (and patented) groove design. The proprietary design does two things.

Firstly, the grooves transfer more energy to the ball on off-center hits. Like PING's TR Grooves, EVNRoll's grooves structure effectively reduces ball speed at the center of the face, while progressively increasing it towards the edges. The end result is the ball comes off the face at the same pace regardless of where impact occurs.

Secondly, EVNRoll's milling pattern helps gear the ball the back towards the center on those same mis-hits. Putts not only roll the same speed, but they also roll to the same spot.

Sound too good to be true? We thought so too...right up until our test results validated the claims.

Testers Wanted

evnroll-test-2.png

Guerin Rife believes his EVNRoll technology can make you a more consistent and more accurate putter. Our preliminary test results certainly support that contention, but we're excited to get EVNRoll technology into your hands.

Will your EVNRoll experience mirror our own?

MyGolfSpy is looking for six golfers to put the EVNRoll putter to the test. Forum members selected to participate in this test will work directly with Guerin Rife (via phone) to get fitted for the right EVNRoll model. Once you receive your putter, test it head to head against your gamer and report your findings.

I'm in! When I saw the MGS blog about these, I actually got a bit excited!

1. I play at least 80 times a year

(8 mos x 4 wks x 2-3x/wk; plus a trip or two and indoor play over the Winter; plus I practice a few times each week including putting green practice.)

2. No official handicap but typical score mid-90s so guesstimate 18-19ish.

(Short game and putting makes up for choking off the tee!)

3. Odyssey Versa #1W

(33"; +3° upright; SuperStroke Slim 3.0 not counterbalanced)

I have a .. bad .. habit of often just grazing one side of the cup or the other, so I'm hoping this putter could help me with that!

I would love to give this a shot! Have played the original Rife putters as well as the Ping TR putters. Best of both with no insert? I'm all in!

I play over 200 rounds per year.

Handicap is currently 9.9. (As much as I play, you'd think I'd get better!)

Currently use a Cameron Studio Design 1 at 33" with a SuperStroke Slim 3.0 grip.

Another awesome opportunity from the staff at MGS!!

  • ARPY - I play between 20-40 rounds per year.  Obviously more in the summer, but I am really trying to carve more time out for golf this year.
  • I did not carry a USGA cap this season. I did not plan on playing any competitive events. I still play around the same 9.6 that is listed in my Sig.
  • I have 2-3 that I rotate. Currently loving the Nike Converge, although I have a vintage Ping that is chomping to git in the bag...

Very very cool chance to test something pretty darn innovative on the putter front.

I play about 50 rounds a year and I putt daily on my 12 foot birdieball putting green

Handicap is now a shade under 5 at 4.7

My current putter is the TaylorMade Spider Limited (34", Superstroke 2.0)

This is probably the test I've looked forward to the most this season. Picked or not I can't wait to see how it goes for the testers!!

I play around 70 rounds a year.

I'm at a 2.9 handicap right now.

I game an Odyssey Works Tank #7

Around 50 competitive rounds, plus a few social rounds per year.

Current handicap 4.8.

Current putter is MLA Tour Mallet, 33 inch with 15gm weights.

I received the MLA putter for review from MGS and MLA, and would love the opportunity to compare these highly rated putters.

It would take something special to get the MLA out of my bag, is the EVNroll up to the challenge?
