desminat000
Hey all its Nate the Great!!! Wanted to create this to say I'm starting the process of getting fitted for a new Driver. So over the whole off season I will be throughly testing different combinations of Titleist Driver setups and will be posting here. I would love your feedback and any suggestions of different setups to try. I currently use and have been using a Nike VR Pro at 9.5 degree with a Stiff flex, 60g that is 1 inch longer then normal. It is now and has been for some time too light and I think I need a lower degree, I have just grown out of it, simply put. I have Titleist wedges and irons and a hybrid and 3 wood, so naturally I'm looking for a Titleist Driver. Haha but seriously I do love my clubs and I have hit Titleist Drivers before and I have always liked the feel, look, and have been able to hit them well. I just had a golf lesson the other day and was trying out the new 917 D3, tried a few different shafts all stiff flex, one was 70g and one was 75g. I definitely liked the heaviest one the most, it felt better in my hand as while swinging it. I wasn't able to take any pics but I will start next week. Thanks for reading and I will be back next week. -Nate the Great- Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

Kenny B
Nice! My local teaching pro who is sponsored by Titleist got his 917 several weeks ago and loves it. Hope you find what you are looking for, but based on the brand agnostic Blog article today, you might want to give some other drivers a try too. Keep us posted and pics are always welcome! “We don’t stop playing the game because we get old; we get old because we stop playing the game.”
Golfspy_CG2
Very Cool, I have the D3 in Stiff but in the much liter Red 50g shaft. I think you're going to like ti a lot. A few friends who have stronger swings have tried the heavier shafts and really like it a lot. They feel they can go at it very hard without worry about going left. djahubes
Pulled the trigger on the 917D3. Went with the diamana blue and had to loft up b/c the spin was too low. One of the most consistent drivers I have ever played. Maybe not the longest out there, but in play with good yardage always trumps spraying it with great yardage Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
PlaidJacket
Yep. I'm interested in reading about your experience also. I've seen the 917 and thought it looked great and setup nicely. I don't play any Titleist equipment but I've always thought they have good looking classic designs. Like Kenny mentioned... I'd try a bunch of heads/shafts and see where the fitting leads you. I still have interest in a new driver for next season but I'd have a hard time letting my old SLDR go. Good luck. My Sun Mountain bag currently includes: 771CSI 5i - PW and PFC Micro Tour-c 52°, 56°, 60 wedges EXS 10.5*, 929-HS FW4 16.5* Willimette w/GolfPride Contour

When I got fitted with my Nike VR Pro, I tried just about every brand, Taylormade, Callaway, Cleveland, the Nike Covert, Mizuno, and Ping. The Nike VR Pro I hit the best.
