Sschaffer24
Anyone see these? https://edelgolf.com/collections/workbench-putters Man are some of these things SWEET! I'm already head over heels for my Edel putter, but I just love the custom one off stuff. Definitely a collector's item. What do you guys think? Any other companies you guys see doing similar things? I know a lot do, but man are these kinds of things drool worthy... TS3 8.75 with HZRDOUS Yellow and Black MicroPerf Best Grips. XR 16 3W & 5W with HZRDOUS Red shafts and Black MicroPerf Best Grips. wbealsd
Now that I've replaced my irons and wedges, an Edel putter is one of the few items left on my "consideration" list. No hurry, just got 8 inches of snow, so it will be awhile before I need one... Oh well they look high class so those who are into the finer things in life would drool over these. On the other hand, how many times have you dropped a few hundred on a driver and a putter is just as if not more important. Two guys I played with back in middle Georgia, kept one putter over several years. I asked them one day, why don't ya try a new putter? Both commented, "when you find one that fits ya, you don't want to change". So get ya a Edel, dial that sucker in, and you'll have a friend for life! PlaidJacket
Can agree with that I putted with the same old Zing 2 for 20 years or so finally lost the magic but my old rusty Santa Fe found it Same here Stu. I used a Zing for 20 years and then it seemed like one day it just died. I panicked and started searching for a new lover. Tried all kinds of newer more modern designs to no avail. Then one day I was in Academy and spotted an Odyssey Wht. #9 for $39 bucks so I grabbed it. Turns out it stayed in my bag for many years and I putted lights out with it. I'm not a putter cover guy either. I rather enjoy my tools looking a little worn and banged up. Adds a bit of character. PMookie
Curious. Is it the Edel putter that is fit to you that makes the difference, or would any putter improve performance if similar fittings were available? I've never been through their process and wonder if it's the putter or the process...? Sschaffer24
I think that each company has their ideas, the differences are with say a company like Ping versus Edel, is that ping has a range of putters that are manufactured. They're going to try to fit you into one of the existing models. Granted they will adjust the lie, loft and length. With Edel theyll go as far as moving the weight around, changing the alignment aids to find the perfect fit, the neck shape/offset, etc. It's just finer detail than what you would see with a big OEM that mass produces these. Hey man sorta off topic but I am temporarly on the Cally bandwagon. Did a trade deal and ended up with a set of 2013 Forged X CBs with rifle 5.0s in them. Hit them pretty good but I am rebuilding another set of 80 VIPs that a friend on another forum sent me free. They are pristine and have the old Brunswick 7.0s in them which are the foreruner of Rifle shafts we have today. Sschaffer24
I'll tell you what Stu, for a long time I was kind of anti-Callaway, but recently with the performance I saw in Modern Golf from their line, I'm pretty blown away with what the brand has going for it.
