Rickp
Can't believe how many peeps quit the game of golf(that I knew well).Met a few gentleman today while shopping that said they are officially done with this game.In my lifetime, I can almost remember 20 to 30 avid golfers who just quit instantly Why - or how ? Does one just stop a hobby abruptly that they were avid at for year(s) Had a few friends quit also. Some because they could not play at a level they thought they should be at. Most though were health reasons a couple were money issues. People change thru the years. Golfspy_CG2
@shankster....I didn't want to take the I200 testing thread off topic, but in regards to your Go Blue comment....I will say I got to spend a fair amount of time around the basketball team and John Beilein during the B1G Basketball Tournament in DC this past spring. They had quite the remarkable adventure in getting there, and it seemed to really pull them together as a team, as they made quite a run during the tournament. They were a pleasure to speak to and watch play that weekend. Golfspy_CG2
Kinda Cool thing has happened the pat few days. I've been approached and am in discussions with a local radio station, about hosting a weekly golf show. It's the same station I do college basketball coverage for, so they are familiar with my work and ability. While I'm excited about the chance and all the opportunities it would present, i'm a bit anxious/nervous as to if I could pull it off. Obviously the COO thinks so or he wouldn't have pitched it to me. We're still formulating the format and details. And it may end up being a bigger thing next spring than right now, as I know a lot of companies we might be talking to about sponsorship have already spent their dollars for the year. But maybe I'll be following in Barbajo's footsteps and hitting the airwaves!! But I think it could really turn into something good. This market doesn't currently have a golf show.
