Dang new grill.. First time using it yesterday and ended up accidentally touching the hot grill lid with my inner arm reaching for some cooking tongs. Left a burn mark.. Still stings today... On the good side, the. Steaks turned out perfectly for dinner

Rookie!

Ha ha ha, yup. The grill is sitting on a higher surface for now and I just wasn't used to it, that and drinking on the boat all day pretty much sealed my fate.. Lol

Well, since there wasn't a follow up thread on the test in the Rain Gear ( that I saw) I thought the timing of those results could not apply any less to me this week

Can't believe how many peeps quit the game of golf(that I knew well).Met a few gentleman today while shopping that said they are officially done with this game.In my lifetime, I can almost remember 20 to 30 avid golfers who just quit instantly

Why - or how ? Does one just stop a hobby abruptly that they were avid at for year(s)

Had a few friends quit also. Some because they could not play at a level they thought they should be at. Most though were health reasons a couple were money issues. People change thru the years.

@shankster....I didn't want to take the I200 testing thread off topic, but in regards to your Go Blue comment....I will say I got to spend a fair amount of time around the basketball team and John Beilein during the B1G Basketball Tournament in DC this past spring.

They had quite the remarkable adventure in getting there, and it seemed to really pull them together as a team, as they made quite a run during the tournament.  They were a pleasure to speak to and watch play that weekend.

I was just thinking the same thing. Last I saw, the Mizunos testing thread was around 100 or so, and now it jumped up to over 700 already.

Sure went out of control today. Should calm down afraid while.

Looking forward to the current reviews in progress and this one also. Want to pull the trigger on new irons this year and right now not sure what's the best for me.

Im going to be off work for a couple of weeks. Think I need to go do this again to relax attachicon.gif2017-06-26 14.23.54.jpg

I must admit to some jealousy.   My wife is a trauma nurse, so I have owned and ridden my last Harley.  (I have never been a 1%er by any definition).  I tried to tell her, it is mostly those idiots on them Ninja bikes, but she ain't buying it.    The bad news is I will never have another Harley, the good news is that the wife apparently wants me to stay alive.

Kinda Cool thing has happened the pat few days.

I've been approached and am in discussions with a local radio station, about hosting a weekly golf show.  It's the same station I do college basketball coverage for, so they are familiar with my work and ability.   While I'm excited about the chance and all the opportunities it would present, i'm a bit anxious/nervous as to if I could pull it off.   Obviously the COO thinks so or he wouldn't have pitched it to me.   We're still formulating the format and details.  And it may end up being a bigger thing next spring than right now, as I know a lot of companies we might be talking to about sponsorship have already spent their dollars for the year.

But maybe I'll be following in Barbajo's  footsteps and hitting the airwaves!! :D

That's great news, buddy, I'm sure you will do a great job.   Ya know, it's always nice to be able to say that ya have met or know a celebrity.   Is it OK, if I tell people that I know you.

Do so at your own risk  :D

yeah it really does.  But I'm also trying to look at everything in practical terms as well, as the the time commitment involved.  But I think it could really turn into something good.  This market doesn't currently have a golf show.  Between the owner of the station and contacts I've made just in the couple years I've been in the industry, we think we could line up some pretty interesting guests.

Two old hackers sitting on the bench of the bay.   ;)  Otis Redding would have liked that for a song title.  lol   Anyways it was a recent trip to Destin, Fla. where my BIL and I were flapping our gums enjoying the cool breeze late one evening.  My wife caught us in deep thought.   Probably talking about going to the par 3 on Destin with the other two family members and spanking some arse.

The next pic was myself and two other family members giving someone a peace sign...   :D

Driving home from Portland up the Columbia River today.  Stopped at The Dalles for lunch.  It was very windy in the Gorge; whitecaps on the river.  However, there were no windsurfers; maybe by the weekend; water temperature is 60*

Whitecaps start to form when the wind gets to about 20 .. the hardcore windsurfers at The Gorge, though (at least outside of the Marina area), don't even start to go out until it gets up to like 30..!

(And the swells start to form up against the river current)

Yes - truly spectacular! Unbelievable area.

Drove from the coast up to Hood River, and inland just far enough to where you can see the desert.

There are some interesting hikes along, and across, the river .. lots of mountain biking, of course .. and you can even ski at the top of Mt. Hood in the Summer!
