I know this ain't golf related or whatever but I bet your day was not near as interesting as mine

It's a good thing my Dad trained me on how to be a good goat wrestler back in the day. I'd be the one whose job was to tackle the goat and hold him still while my Dad gave em a worm pill. The pills were rather large and those goats weren't particular happy having one slid down their throat. Anyways today my wife called me and asked if I would come down to the shelter and help her while she was taking pics of the dogs. She is a good photographer and has helped several of the dogs become adopted are fostered through her skill. If folks don't see em they won't adopt. Ok so back to goat wrestling skills. We had two pit bulls and one lab to take pics of today. For anyone not familiar with pit bulls, they are really strong dogs! So I hop in the first cage and put the collar and leash around Diamond which was not as big as Boomer who I later had the pleasure of wrestling. Because Diamond was not a particular huge pit I figured she would be a breeze. Well I get her out of the cage and about to take her outside when she turned up the jets and pulled my old arse around the yard like a rubber duck toy!  I walked her all around the shelter trying to wear her down a bit and boy was that a joke. She reminded me back when I would help my Grand Dad with the plow mules. So after I got the drift that this little heifer had rocket fuel in her blood, I suggested we take her down to the holding pen and try and get some good pics. We finally nailed down some solid pics and took Diamond back to her launch pad.
I was worn out when my wife said ok now we need to get Boomer out for some pics. Oh my GAWD! I found out quick why they named that hoss Boomer! I thought the female pit was strong. I got him all harnessed up and we left his cage and out for his picture taking session. Well Boomer wasn't interested in picture taking. He took off and dragged me around the yard like I was behind a jet ski! He had a chest the size of mind and his head was twice as big... 🦍That ole boy seemed to enjoy how much he dragged my 200 lb frame around the yard at record speeds.... My wife yelled out, " Hold him still"! I replied back, "hold em still my arse"! That pit had to be a rodeo bull in his prior life... We or rather him took us down to the holding pen and turned him loose so we could try and get some good shots. My wife was finally satisfied with her pics. Me and my buddy Boomer had this little match going back up the hill to see who could out pull the other. It's a good thing I was a goat wrestler back in the day. Where's my extra strength pain meds!!!!! 🤪

Now that’s downright funny s!!tIMG_5429.JPG

Now that's a great story! I mean, you know it's going to be great when it starts with, "It was a good thing my Dad trained me to be a good goat wrestler..." but it exceeded all expectations.

Well, our last night here... Movers come at 8am. Lots of great memories here, but always tough to leave for a “softee” like me! Last home my Dad visited, first home for our youngest. Memories will be flying through my head as I pull the door shut that one last time...

Enjoy your last night at your old home and be grateful not just for the memories, but that you have actual movers coming and not buddies helping you move. That is when you know you’ve made it!

My wife is editing pics right now.  I'll toss one out for you guys to have a chuckle over once she's done. No videos done today however no doubt it would have put us in the 100,000 bracket for America's Funniest Videos competition..... lol

Hahaha! Every move my wife and I have made, until these last two, were care of my basketball teams I coached! “Practice is at my house/apt at 8am. Bring your cars and trucks! Pizza when you finish!”
Ahhhh, those were the days. Not coaching anymore, so now it costs REAL money!!! Hahaha!

Was waiting for War Dept and turned on TV to ESPN and there was a Cornhole College Event between Bama and Georgia college students. Only had it on a few minutes but Bama was killing Georgia.
Fun to watch.

I don't like announcing the score if we're up. It just feels discourteous to me somehow. If I'm behind I will ask as we head to the next hole "that puts you 2 up, right" or something like that. That way I'm letting my opponent off the hook if they feel uncomfortable about saying it.

Sent from my Pixel 3 using MyGolfSpy mobile app

I try to do that as well, but when you are keeping score, at some point with 5-6 holes to go, I think it’s important to make sure everyone knows where the match stands. It just sucks when there’s 5-6 holes left and you are up 4 and you have to bring up the scores.

i'll admit I'm envious of all the guys posting in the 'how'd you play thread' and 'weather in your neck of the woods' and 'pics from the course' but it is sure nice to see that some members get to play year round.

keep the posts coming as it helps us in outer regions live vicariously through you - at least for a few months!

Beautiful morning 70* @ 7:30 tee time. Shot a 45-43-88.
This was the first time we played a course that the greens were recently reseeded with TifEagle hybrid grass. I only made a couple of decent putts as these greens were tough to read. These were also some of the fastest and smoothest we’ve played in a long time.
Fun morning
