Being a Michigan native, nothing will compare to the Great Lakes. Nothing against salt water, just something about summers here. Yep, only summer for 2 months, but it can’t be beat.

Still ready to move along tbough

We felt the same way when we left New England. We still miss a lot of Northeast except cold, snow, freezing rain and taxes. Everything else A-Ok!

Hit some balls on the trackman at the new golf galaxy here. I was surprised to see my Swing speed is up some. Last time I saw it I was going through some lower back things, and was around 99-100. I was swinging the other day at 104-105. That’s good.

Just came back from volunteering for the U.S. Open Qualifier  at our Club. I felt bad for the guys playing given the miserable weather. We've had so much rain and cold temps I don't even remember what the sun looks like.

Now I don't feel so bad when I don't play well on our course in cold weather. Lowest score was 1 under and five guys tied at even. They ended up in a playoff because only 3 got to go onto the next level.

I agree. Having a daughter is the greatest joy of my life. There is no better feeling than a hug and a smile from my own child.

My daughter (6) is my greatest joy AND worst nightmare all wrapped into one. My wife insists cheerleading.. I demand Muay Thai AND jiu jitsu. If she takes to neither that's fine.. but my little guy (1.5) won't have a choice as his life will be dedicated to becoming the "boyfriend assassin" if I have my way.

the more I practice, the luckier I seem to get..

Don't get me wrong she is wonderful the majority of the time. I am truly lucky in that regard, both of my children are way better than I deserved.

The emotional roller coaster of raising children is amazing. They pull at your heart like nothing I have experienced anywhere else.

Nice! It's fun, and you know it.

I'm thinking about trying one myself. I'm trying to convince myself to try the half instead of sticking with the 10K. Gotta get out of my comfort zone.

My real goal is to beat all the 20 year olds at my new job. Train for distance and work on my speed.

Need a sub 9 minute mile and a half... not sure if I can move that fast for that long... quickest of the year is 9:45

I used the Hal Higdon training programs when I ran my first one a few years back. It was solid! I achieved my goal of breaking 2 hours (1:50) and then got duped into running another one without training. That was absolute MISERY.

I’d be happy with a sub 2 half. Good pace.

Just did 7.5 today at a 8:20 pace, and still had reserve fuel. I’m finding it hard to run sloooow on the recovery runs like suggested. I get bored at around 5 miles.

How’s this for random? Some drunk guy just crashed his crotch rocket into my neighbors truck, his house and came to rest in my back yard.

What a night! Accident reconstruction team in my back yard until 1am. Paint and motorcycle parts everywhere this morning.

Turns out, the guy used to be a cop. Was fired a couple weeks ago from his third police department in 2 years.

Evidently, he's been given more chances than he deserves and is spiraling out of control.  He played high school sports with my brother.  His wife took the kids and left a few months ago.  I overheard the arresting officer (who I played high school sports with) ask the paramedics to make sure they do a "blood tox" because they suspect he is on something much more than just alcohol.  Which would make sense given the number of jobs he has lost in such a short time.

A field sobriety test is being administered in the picture I shared.  He began to cry and tried to run when they placed him under arrest.  He was whaling "please God no, no!"  When they got him inside the patrol car, he began to slam his head on the side glass.  They ended up "hog-tying" him to keep him from hurting himself.

I felt like I was in the middle of a "Live PD" episode!
