Yep.  I’d be a bit nervous on that course.

Probably won't have to - I'll just bring my ball retriever and fish a bunch out.

Most courses I've played in Florida have deep drop-offs, probably to prevent fishing balls and slowing play.  Hope yours is better.

Does anyone have a solution for seeing the ball when you tee off before sunrise? Don't want to use glow in the dark balls, looking for a better solution.

Yup, just like I tell everyone that I'm a lucky golfer it never rains when I'm  playing golf. Then they say really. Then I say, I don't play when it rains. Simple solution!

I don’t do rain either. Light sprinkle/mist OK but that’s it.

Only had to play in real heavy rain at the state tournament in high school years back. I even went to range on a rainy day that week to try and get used to it. Let's just say both sessions went poorly.

I have a friend who plays 2x a week before the first tee time. They play the first hole and maybe half the next in the dark.

They try one of three things:

  1. Glow in the dark ball charged up with a blacklight flashlight
  2. Light up LED golf balls that you drop on the cart path and it lights up for a few mins
  3. Hit and hope you find it with a regular ball

They switch out the ball as soon as it is light enough.

There really isn't any other way around it other than the obvious "Don't play in the dark." @Tom the Golf Nut

I live in SoCal where it hardly ever rains and the home of very long rounds. Rain is the one chance for a wide open golf course so, I love playing in the rain.

Yeah, makes sense. I had this idea of shining some sort of spotlight down the fairway from the tee box, lol. i am pretty sure it wouldn't work like i am thinking it would work.

I have tried my 1 million candlepower flashlight for that. The problem is that all the particulates in the air get lit up so, I ended up losing the ball in the air after 100 feet never seeing where it hit the ground. The light up LED balls were very easy to see. I ordered mine direct from China to get a better price.

I was stationed over there from 2012-2015.  Saw a few really close up, including the one that blew up a few hundred feet in the air.  That was one heck of an explosion.  Knocked stuff off our walls.  They also recommended that we stay inside for around 8 hours because of all of the fuel in the air and what not.

I imagine the space shuttle launches were really something to see/hear/feel.
