You have to be on high alert when shopping at WallyWorld.  A friend of mine bought a 5 qt jug of oil, got home to do his oil change and discovered it was used oil!  Somebody got creative to get a free oil change.  I bought a jar of peanuts to keep in the truck for a job snack.  Opened it up the first time and found the foil seal had been opened already and a handful or two missing.  I couldn't bring myself to eat any and tossed the whole jar.  I guess somebody got hungry shopping for hours in their PJ's and needed a snack.

WOW, never understood what would bring folks to do that.
I do remember a while back at Publix a couple walking around eating a bag of grapes while shopping.

I'm heading to Ohio in the morning real freaking early to see family for a day and a half. I wish I could sleep because I'm leaving at 3am but nope I'm wide awake.

We are making the opposite track tomorrow morning, we are driving from Michigan to Maryland for the weekend.

I hope you have a safe trip and enjoy the family time.

I accompanied SWMBO to Walmart the other day and while I was waiting & waiting & waiting took a look in Sporting Goods. In the Golf Section there were hardly any boxes only a few refinished or Nitro balls. I was surprised and had no idea why.
Still looking around and waiting looked at guns/ammo stuff and behind the counter and roped off section where the golf balls! Really!! What is going on, Ole Farts stealing balls!
Curious (and still waiting) asked a clerk why and he told me that people are taking out a sleeve from box or switching the 4 sleeves of high end balls for cheaper ones.

That happens a lot around here, I have seem many times where the boxes of high end balls are full of cheaper golf balls, I have gone to the point where I do not buy any golf balls at Walmart, without checking each sleeve to ensure that the balls I am getting are the right ones.

I posted earlier in the "How'd You Play" but had issues with inserting pictures from an Iphone and them showing up upside down. Downloaded the MGS app and went back an uploaded the pictures from my phone without issue.

We have a large Walmart in town here and it it a golfing community but never had a large selection of golf balls or other golf stuff except for refurbished balls. Those refurbished prices are almost as much as buying new Srixon or Maxfli.

I've seen that too.

Unfortunately I knew someone a long time ago that would pull that crap, he would go to shoe stores and swap his old old shoes for new ones leaving the old ones on the box of the new ones.

Unfortunately for Walmart, the loses of those items, are acceptable as having a proper loss prevention set up probably costs a lot more for them.

TSi tester thread is closed, looks like testers could/should be announced today.

I didn't apply but I've paid attention to the thread...I know I've said it before but I can't believe how many responses are first time posters, incomplete or wrong responses, etc.  One guy said he wants to test the TSi4?!

Honestly, there was a time that I posted only to the testing opportunities.  Looking back now, that's pretty damn embarrassing to admit.

Having to distill all those responses down to just the legitimate candidates, and then picking from among them, has to be painful.

all those big box stores have a “shrink” value built in to the budget to account for shoplifting, damaged items, etc.

I feel for the lefties Tony, my normal playing partner, Chris is a lefty and have a hell of a time finding decent clubs, as well as gloves, outside of sporting good stores.

Every so often Meijer will have lefty gloves, that dont sell and if I see I usually buy him a few pairs, as they go on very good clearances then.

Between my friends and co workers who golf, I personalty know 5 lefties, without counting you.

Best of luck on that scramble, I hope you guys have a lot of fun.

Bummed and not sure what to do now.  Forecast here on Saturday is 72, then on Sunday the day of the scramble...high of 46, with wind.

I really want his first exposure to a golf competition to be fun and memorable, and I have tried to make it a rule to never make him play; I'm trying to always keep it fun.  I really don't want to have him out there and decide he's too cold 3 holes into it, or just not have a good time in general because he's cold.

Not sure whether to back out and wait for another opportunity, or just press on and hope he still enjoys himself...

... Speaking as someone that hates playing in the cold*, especially windy cold, I would cancel and make the first competition a fun and warm one. Nothing worse than having your hands/fingers lose their feel while trying to play. Bright sun can certainly help but 46* is pretty cold to stay loose and swing freely, especially if the wind chill puts those temps in the 30's.

*I was born and raised in the South so I imagine my blood is just not suited for the cold even though I have been here for 42 years now.

Thanks. Kind of the direction I'm leaning.  7 is probably a little young to expect him to tough anything out, especially when I'm trying to stoke the fire and get him to want to play more...

My daughter is home, safe and sound!

The fam and I all appreciate the kind words from everyone who was thinking about her. She's still a little zoned out from the meds, but she's got Netflix and she asked for her favorite blueberry muffin from Dunkies to munch so, hopefully she keeps that one down (those meds side effects are no joke).

We'll be back up in Boston on Tuesday for our first followup with the surgeon, fingers crossed for a good report.

Thanks again everyone.

That is awesome, I hope now you guys and her can get some rest, and she has a swift recovery.

I hope that those WTF messages are nonexistent this time around, but I doubt it.

I have learned in the past couple of days, how much work is done by the staff and also learned some more about the staff themselves, from conversations.

So if you guys have not heard recently.

Thank you @Golfspy_CG2 @GolfSpy MPR @GolfSpy Stroker and @GolfSpy STUDque for the hard work and dedication you guys put day in and day out to this forum.

I did my last Occupational Therapy yesterday--- Did a mile on the treadmill in 15: 35 not bad for being about 60 lbs overweight and a healing up back. Those OT sessions are 3 hrs each and I did my last of 15 series yesterday. Went today and hit 55 balls on the range usually been hitting 25. I am back at about 80% on distance. Had absolutely no pain or stiffness today. May do 55 tomorrow but hit at it a tad harder. Also did 3 15 minute putting sessions. Getting through the ball good. Rested between sessions and had no stiffness or problems getting out of the chair. Basically I did my golf therapy style for 3 hrs with plenty of rest breaks

Nice work Stu!  Keep it up.  Glad to hear you are getting your strength back.
