Yep I pushed myself a little the last 5 sessions plus exercise at home. But I was closely supervised and encouraged. Like my box lift reps I increased from 15 reps to 25 reps. On my side to side reps imagine doing a vertical windmill I went from 25 X2 to 35 x 2. At therapy they had me do it with plastic textile type cones at home I was doing it with half filled water bottles. I go to my Doc the 29th for final exam and I hope they will discharge me. I am not really planning to get back in a truck but ready to assume my retirement enjoyment playing golf. It has taken pretty much all of my back pain away. A few mornings here and there I’ll wake up and wonder what I did. Cold weather definitely makes you have to stretch more. And you’ll have to set a limit for yourself so you don’t re-injure it. I had to learn this for my shoulder. tommc23

The "back" is a pretty broad description, so my back problem is a degenerative L3 disc. Pieces of my disc broke off and we pressing against my spinal cord. They removed the pieces and 2 years later one more piece broke off and had to be removed. In 1995 surgery was not where it is today and they severed my ligaments to accomplish the surgery so that caused other problems. A herniated disc last fall caused severe pain and they gave me the option of surgery or rehab and I wanted to exhaust all possibilities before another surgery. Popular Post BIG STU
Well got a phone call today John Smalls is coming down for all of next week to play golf. This is going to be a hoot. One of my regular team partners had knee surgery yesterday and was walking around today. The Doc gave him the green light for playing Monday. So he can play with John and I. But he is going to play on the team tomorrow putting only. We will alternate his other shots exactly like they did with me when I could not swing. One of the owners of the course I have been told has a Red Cross flag for our cart. But hardly no one knows I have worked hard and am back about 90% now. Yep I am going to open up a surprise can of whoop arse tomorrow. John is going to come by and see the shop and he has wanted to do that for a while and I am going to switch some adaptors around for him too. This will be my first "free week" since July with no therapy or doctors visits so I am really looking forward to it. Was looking forward any how and now John adds icing to the cake Edited October 16, 2020 by BIG STU MDGolfHacker, tommc23, Kenny B and 11 others 14 Quote Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- 5W TM V-Steel Fubuki 60r--- 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R----- 9 W TM V Steel TM MAS stiff---- Irons 2015 TM TP CB Steel Fiber 95 R--- GW Callaway Mack Daddy 2 52* shaft unknown junk pile refugee.
