Yea the dad of the breeding I'm doing is a field trial dog along with doing the hunt tests we do. My dogs like duck hunting so I take advantage of it. They do some of the retrieves like they do in lab testing also. It creates a well rounded dog.

First post-op appt in Boston is done, the surgeon is very happy with the progress my daughter is making. Next visit is Nov 3 for an additional followup and some tests.

Maybe for once I'll get to drive up and back without it pouring.

Just came from the VA.........got a cortisone shot in each knee. So come Friday morning I should be in great shape for several months.

Cortisone works wonders.
I still get the GelSyn shots (5) every 6 months.

No, right knee is Bone on Bone. I was going for replacement but Orthopedic Surgeon retired due to C19 and I’m in no rush for hospitals right now.
Topicals aren’t a good fit for B on B and CBD are not on my radar. I almost tried CBD but in that case was nothing more than a Pyramid Scheme that turned me off. Also their “clinical evidence was suspect.

Nice, usually when I needed, cortisone shots would react with my blood sugar and leave me with a "foggy" head for a couple of days.

The cbd thing is so hard, because there is no clear information of what is good or just blowing up smoke, pun intended.

I've been trying to figure out for awhile, the kanibi review that some menbers have conducted here, is very promising, but still there are thousands of other brands out there.

Don't wait too long.  When I had my left knee replaced in 2014, the doc said that if I had waited any longer he would have had to do a bone graft.  Much needed relief; glad I did it.

What cbd products do you use Tony, my wife is starting to get more and more back and hip pain, but it is absolutely terrified of surgery and the normal pain killers only do so much.

I haven't tried any. Everyone seems to be touting their benefits but I guess time will tell. Although if I was facing the possibility of surgery, I think I'd give it a try.

They are taboo for VA patients.....could lose benefits.

Yup, you’re right. The GelSyn gives the knee a “cushion”. I tried Supartz and wasn’t as effective as GelSyn shots.

Shots never worked for me.  I had cartilage removed the old fashioned way in 1971, and it was never good after that.  I waited as long as I could for docs to get better at replacement.  Almost waited too long; my doc retired a year later after he did my wife's right knee.

Now my wife goes in for carpel tunnel in 2 weeks.  Golf over for her the rest of the year.
