3 of my 4 boats had issues today....  on our way to town a black cat ran in front of us, nearly smoked a large family of deer in the road... so far so good...

Golf tomorrow and Sunday and I just sent my 3 kids to the golf room to put a bag together for me that is not what I currently play. Should be fun to see what they come up with.

As a side note I have a right elbow that needs a complete reconstruction so my normal gear in cold weather is harsh and I wouldn’t make it 9 holes let alone 36.

I knew better!!  I knew better!!  But I forgot.

Downloaded the new OS Big Sur to my laptop.  Going OK, then it froze up; updating bar didn't move for an hour.  Shut down.  When I rebooted, it slooooowly came up to the new login screen, but it did restart with the new OS.  Whew!!

Think i am going to move to wristlock or armlock putting. I have a wristlock grip on my DF 2.1 and it feels like cheating.

Also, I am short enough and have a low enough wrist to floor that a 35" putter can be an armlock putter for me LOL. So if i were to get a stock 35" putter and have it set to 5 degrees loft and lie angle of about 72, it becomes an armlock for me. Pretty cool that i wouldn't need to order an armlock specific putter.

I like rainy golf (i'm weird). But not if it is pouring, just a light/medium rain.

I'm with you. I love playing in light precipitation (as long as 8'm prepared for it). One big benefit is that generally no one else is out there.

Same here. As long as it's not a downpour, I'm fine. The course is usually wide open, and I've got a decent set of rain gear so it's not a problem with me.

I am doing a research paper on Intergenerational Relationships over the next few weeks.

I personally remember having great relationships with older people when I was a kid.  Learning from them, but now, it’s like hey... old man, you are a creep get the heck our of here...

Sounds like you have a topic.   How have these relationship changed over time.  Is it simply perspective or reality.

Yeah, I have already done a bunch of research.  It is going to be interesting, I’m going all the way back to the early days... real early.

Started with driver and irons, but I had to check out some of the wedges too. I'll do a write up on it tomorrow. It went well though

You're weird!  If it's raining here, I just wait a few minutes (sometimes a few hours), then play when it's dry.  Much more fun.

Don't rush it.  Take it easy!  You're not a spring chicken anymore...  OK, maybe you are, but time is your friend.

just got home this afternoon from a weekend in Newport, RI. 

in to quarantine we go. we got a covid test in RI on saturday that came back negative. now we stay locked inside until wednesday, and get another covid test thursday. pending the results of that test, we can exit quarantine once they’re back. 

probably all done in time for the state to be locked down again.

Distractions...

Went in to DSG fully intending on buying a fresh box of V1’s for next weeks outing.  But out of nowhere a box of Bridgestone XS fell off a shelf... I picked them up, saw that they were on sale and bought them.

A sign? Nah, just a good deal on some good golf balls I suppose...

I don't know if you've ever used the XS, but out of the Bridgestone balls I've tried I like it the best. Can't beat getting them on sale.

I was fortunate enough to be part of the white box testing... that is, before nearly half of them when to the recycling place on accident... long story...
